    • Beaver: Where's Franklin? The eclipse is starting. (groans) And so are the bugs!

    • Franklin: Hi, Beaver. Look what I painted for you.
Beaver: It's no use, Franklin. I'm keeping the telescope.

    • Franklin: You can actually see the planet Mars with that?
Beaver: Uh huh. Not all these bright dots in the sky are stars, you know. Some are planets.

    • Franklin: There wasn't any rush to spend all my bonus bucks. I could have waited, instead of getting this telescope.
Bear: Well, it's like my Dad always says --- "live and learn."
Franklin: I sure learned the hard way this time.

    • Mr. Turtle: (after Mr. Mole gives him some bonus coupons) I've collected so many of those, I don't know if I can fit anymore into my wallet.
Mr. Mole: Then maybe it's time to redeem them for something in the store.

    • Narrator: Franklin could count by twos and tie his shoes. He could name twenty dinosaurs and lots of different trees too. But Franklin still had much to learn about the stars and the planets.

    • Mr. Fox: In recognition of your generosity, I am pleased to present you with the Caring Brother Badge.

    • Franklin: How come you're being such a pest lately?
      Harriet: Not pest. Tailblazer.
Franklin: You really do want to be a Trailblazer like me, don't you? You know, I'm starting my own group that's even more fun. It's called Turtle Trackers. Do you know any turtles who might want to join?
      Harriet: Turtle Trackers get badges?
Franklin: Oh yeah, tons of them.

    • Mr. Turtle: Can I be a Trailblazer too?
Harriet: Me too! I wanna be Tailblazer.
Franklin: Dad, you're too old. and Harriet's still too young.

    • Franklin: And did I tell you what we did at the end of the meeting? We did a wolf howl! Awoooo!
      Harriet: Awoooo!
Mrs. Turtle: Sounds like you had a great time, Franklin.

    • Mr. Fox: Why don't you teach everyone, Fox?
Fox: Okay. Everybody stand up and put your hand over your heart. "A Trailblazer is cheerful and helpful and learns by doing." Now you guys say it.
All Trailblazers except Fox: A Trailblazer is cheerful and helpful and learns by doing.
Fox: "He respects his forest and his community."
All Trailblazers except Fox: He respects his forest and his community.
Fox: "And always puts others before himself."
All Trailblazers except Fox: And always puts others before himself.

    • Narrator: Franklin could count by twos and tie his shoes. He could tell a birch from a maple tree and he could chirp like a chickadee. But there were many other things Franklin wanted to learn.
