Franklin and Bear have been making homemade cookies for a while now and this time, they've made their biggest batch ever. "Franklin's Picnic"

Franklin is sure that he won't like anything spinach, or lots of unfamiliar foods in general. Bear seems to agree with him, but the two find themselves facing this issue head-on when Beaver organizes a picnic and those in change of bringing the food announce plans to bring some pretty strange-sounding things.moreless

    Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

    FILTER BY TYPE

    • TRIVIA (4)

      • Additionally, Mrs. Bear pours some water into the reassembled vase at the end of "Franklin's Cookie Question" and some of the glued pieces break, causing a leak. The water squirts out and puddles up, reaching the edge of the table. It then remains completely stationary, not dripping off the edge of the table.

      • Cookie Problem 3: At the end of the story, the remaining cookies are placed on a plate. There appear to be maybe six or seven of them.

      • Cookie Problem 2: Later on in "Franklin's Cookie Question," Franklin and Bear pull a vase holding the cookies off of Bear's paw and it shatters. A pan shot of the scene is shown and there are at most twelve cookies scattered among the shattered base pieces. Either Bear managed to eat some of the cookies before getting his paw stuck in the vase, or Mrs. Bear ate some of them.

      • At one point in "Franklin's Cookie Question," the top of the cookie jar is shown and there are six cookies at the top. There are only 28 cookies, but the jar is full and it looks like it could hold more than 28.

    • QUOTES (19)

    • NOTES (3)

      • Story and money constraints probably dictated who would be present at the picnic in "Franklin's Picnic." Although Rabbit, Fox and Goose are all regular members of Franklin's group, none of them are invited to the picnic.

      • In past fifth-season episodes, there was a small side-plotline focusing on a blue jay laying some eggs in a nest in the treehouse tree. In a recent story, they hatched and in "Franklin's Picnic," the mother blue jay can be seen bringing a worm to her young.

      • "Franklin's Cookie Question" also appears in online listings as "Franklin's Cookie Questions."
