  • Frasier, Niles, and Martin travel to Boston for Thanksgiving.

When Frasier finds out that Fredrick has the chance to get into a fancy school, Frasier changes his thanksgiving plans and travels to Boston.

Lilith and Frasier meet with the head of the school, to try and get Fredrick in, but after the interview is over with, they become obsessed with making sure Fredrick is in, that they return numerous times, and are blind to the fact that Fredrick has a black eye, hives, among other things.

They bring a turkey, that Niles slaved over for hours in a finale attempt, the head gets so annoyed, that he admits Fredrick in, telling Frasier and Lilith that they are not pick him up, or attend any of the schools functions, it doesn’t seem to bother because after they left they said "we're in".

I loved the scenes between Fredrick and Martin, Martin was trying so hard to spend some time with his grandson, that everything they did went from bad to worse.moreless

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

  • TRIVIA (1)

    • (Niles has just made a disparaging remark about Lilith)
Frasier: As if a smile from Maris couldn't freeze mercury.

The freezing temperature of mercury is -78°F (-61.1 °C).

  • QUOTES (6)

    • Dr. Campbell:  I'm curious. I've always been a great admirer of Mrs. Meir. How did you meet?
Lillith:  Oh...well.  It's a funny story. Frasier, you tell it much better than I do.
Frasier:  Uh, yes..yes, back in college days, uh, Lillith spent a summer at a...a kubbutz, and was, uh, dating her grandson, Oscar.
Dr. Campbell:  (flatly) That would be Oscar Meir.
Frasier:  Yes, well just imagine the ribbing he took.

    • Lilith: Frasier, if you overanalyse every detail, you will rob us of the joy of the moment. It'll be our wedding night all over again.

    • Frasier: By the way, I frown on overnight guests.
Roz: Then you're not doing it right.

    • Niles: By the way, what time tomorrow are Frederick and Lilith flying in?
Martin: Her broom touches down at eleven.

    • Martin: Why does Lilith have to tag along anyway?
Frasier: She said she didn't wanna spend the holiday alone. Her husband is in New Zealand exploring a volcano.
Martin: Why couldn't she go with him?
Niles: Because if she accidentally fell in, the shockwave from the hottest thing in nature meeting the coldest would actually crack the Earth in two.

    • Niles: (about Lilith's cooking) How far are you along?
Lilith: Well, I'm almost done defrosting.
      Niles: And the turkey?

  • NOTES (2)

    • Lilith and Frederick appear together for the first time. Interestingly, their next appearance together is in another Thanksgiving episode, The Apparent Trap.

    • Trevor Einhorn makes his first appearance as Frederick Crane. He is the fourth actor to play the role. Christopher and Kevin Graves played Frederick in Cheers, and Luke Tarsitano played Frederick in "Frasier Grinch".
