When Lilith told everyone she and Brian were getting married the next day in Las Vegas, Niles revealed that he thought Las Vegas was the tackiest possible place to get married. He initially thought Lilith and Brian selected Las Vegas to poke fun at the institution of marriage. This is ironic since Niles and Daphne later elope in Reno and are married in a tacky chapel attached to a casino in "The Ring Cycle."
In this episode, Madeleine told Frasier that she is apprehensive about dating divorced men. But in the previous episode on their first dinner date, Madeleine was extremely relieved to hear Frasier was recently divorced because she was afraid he had never been married.

Frasier: That's never happened before without a prescription, haha!
Lilith: (introducing her boyfriend to Frasier and Madeleine) Uh, Brian is a seismologist at M.I.T.
Frasier: Oh, well, that's perfect -- Brian being a seismologist and you having... so many faults.
Frasier: My God, woman. I would drive a stake through your heart, but I don't think anything could KILL YOU!
