      • Sherry: You'll feel much better once you've had my scrambled egg tacos and Spam patties. Frasier: Yes, in keeping with the trusty adage, "starve a cold, disgust a fever."

      • Frasier: As we speak, hordes of viral Visigoths are hurling themselves over the battlements of my immune system, laying waste to my... Oh, dear God, you see how weak I am? I can't even finish a simple Visigoth metaphor.

      • Martin: Well, I'm sorry to tax your delicate system, but Daphne's back, and she and Sherry are at it again, and now she says she's going to stay overnight with Niles and I don't know what to do and this is your department! Frasier: All right, unless blood has been spilled, and on a carpeted area, I don't care. Now get out!

      • Daphne: Sex. That's your answer for everything. It's like you're part rabbit. People ought to rub your feet for luck.

      • Daphne: You've had your big conk in my business all day! Sherry: That better mean "nose"! Daphne: And what if it doesn't?

      • Daphne: (reflecting on her current lack of a love life) I mean, I have been keeping myself on the shelf lately, and feeling a little like the good china. Niles: Someone should be eating off you every day.

      • Four scene titles in this episode parody classic Tennessee Williams movies: CAT FIGHT ON A HOT TIN ROOF: Cat On a Hot Tin Roof (1958) SUDDENLY THIS SUMMER: Suddenly Last Summer (1959) THE NIGHT OF THE I WANNA: The Night of the Iguana (1964) THE BATH MENAGERIE: The Glass Menagerie (1950)

      • (Frasier comes home to find Daphne and Sherry squabbling. Martin appeals to him to settle their dispute) Frasier: I'm sorry, dad. It was all I could do to get through my show. King Solomon has split his last baby. This references the wisdom of the biblical King Solomon. Two women came to his court, arguing over the ownership of a baby. Solomon said that he would split the baby and give each woman a half. While one agreed, the other said that she would rather give up the baby than see it killed. Solomon therefore knew that the second woman was the baby's true mother.
