I agree wholeheartedly. I cringed when I watched what poor Jane Leeves had to go through in her character and now, seeing them in the current rotation on Lifetime the feeling is doubled.  It just did not feel right.  It was lazy writing and I hated to see Daphne's character having to undergo "Married with Childen" quality fat jokes.

I would have rather they had written out her character for a few episodes, but hey, I am sure Jane appreciated the paycheck, so you can't really blame her.

I actually like all the episodes. Sure there are some that stick out more than the rest, but I think that they all have great writing and storylines. The early episodes, middle episodes and later episodes all had their own certain charm to them. Each section of the series was great. It's a wonderful show and it's great reliving the moments that made the show so great.

I didn't like the episodes involving Daphne's mother, i just dont think they added anything to the show. The actress is not particularly popular in the UK anyway and she didn't play the character very well.

I liked for one thing, the part where Martin? I believe mentions that sometimes, it's just one thing that makes you go crazy when your avoiding everything else, and Daphne comes in saying she went looking everywhere for the wheat bran.

    I don't know why...but I love it.

The lesser Frasier episodes still usually have some fun moments - but the worst ones, i think, are:

A Day In May - with the parole hearing for the guy who shot Martin - a wasted opportunity.
Some Assembly Required - Frasier helps KACL build a charity house for a family - so un-Frasier-like.
War Of The Words - Freddie's spelling competition - hmmm.
Kissing Cousin - Roz's annoying cousin - enough said.

Generally the worst episodes appear during seasons 8-10.

    Bump!

Haha, some real stinkers here. I agree about the Cheers episodes and "A Day in May', though the latter was better than I remembered the second time around. As for the former, "Cheerful Goodbyes" was just the lowest point. I didn't watch Cheers so I had no clue what was going on and the whole premise seemed forced. Most Lilith episodes were great though.

There are some episodes others have listed here than I disagree with. The one I most strongly contend is "Daphne Returns", I thought it was one of the best Frasier episodes ever... in the top 20 of the series. Everything in that heart-to-heart between Frasier and Niles was so true. I always loved the more dramatic scenes of the show when they have to do with psychoanalysis. How they integrated some classic Niles/Daphne scenes into the episode was brilliant too.

"Beware of Greeks (5x17)" was a really weird episode. Its the only time we meet Marty's brother, which contradicts what he said in another episode (the one where the crane boys decide to write a book together). Overall the episode just felt different from the rest of the series

I really found it very difficult to watch Kate, the station manager from Season 3. The ones with her are not my favorites. Also, Mel was unnecessary

Agreed on the parole episode, but I loved the Spelling Bee one, especially that last line about "He'll just end up at a state school" which causes the three Cranes to turn around like gunfighters. I liked that episode!

Yeah and Roz's annoying cousin was pretty dreadful, although it was one of the few times Kenny's character had any depth.

Any of the episodes where Frasier was on the hunt for women... *shivers* ... I hated those episodes. I just wanted to slap Frasier upside the head, due to him being so dang annoying.

I love the part in Beware of Greeks where Frasier goes, "Inappropriate!" when his nephew is about to credit him with saving him from marrying the wrong girl. For that one part, it can't be one of my least favorite. To be honest, I like that one. My least favorite are:

Rooms with a View - too serious, as stated in a previous post

A Day in May - boooooring

and My Coffee with Niles - it moved way too slow for me

I also agree about all the Cheers ones.

My least favorite episodes were (all) the ones that found Frasier unemployed. They were painful (for me) to watch because I found most of them poorly written. One particularly "painful" episode featured the cast at a park and several (supporting) cast members (conveniently)got jobs one after the other (ouch). However, these episodes I can forgive because the good ones (and there are many) certainly outweigh the bad in terms of content, writing, wardrobe...on so many levels this show was just fantastic.
