Lilith and Freddie live in Boston, so maybe Frasier will see them more often.  Chicago is a lot closer to Boston than Seattle is.

He does not go to Chicago. He moves San Francisco.

No he really does go to Chicago. Although throughout the episode he is going to San Francisco for his new job, when the plane lands you the air hostess announce they have landed in Chicago showing he has chosen to make a go of it with Charlotte instead.

That's correct he does end up in Chicago even though he plans on San Francisco.

I thought that the finale was very clever, because you got to kind of think want you wanted to think about what happeneded when Frasier got to Chicago. I thought it was very creative and one of the better final episodes of a tv series that i have seen.

I agree with you 100%. It was a great show finale. I still have major problems watching it though - it's hard to hear the dialogue past all the sobbing and screaming. I've only seen it twice and the second time (I had to have a stiff drink first) was on Region 1 DVD, which to all other UK residents out there (in case you didn't already know this) featured an extra scene at the hotel that wasn't screened on Channel 4
