  • Not bad but nothing special

    7.0
In this episode Frasier and Daphne are off the hook when Donny drops his case. Frasier asks out his lawyer but soon discovers she's overcharging him and isn't sure how to handle it. Everyone goes out to dinner and bumps into Donny, who says he's engaged which makes Daphne fear he's only on the rebound.

This epiosde isn't the best in the series, but it's worth it for the scene where Niles has to ride the lift up and down four or five times, once with each character. Other than that it's usual Frasier so nothing really stands out. I've given it a good rating because I didn't get bored with it.moreless
  • Frasier takes a liking to his lawyer.

    10
Frasier hires an attractive lawyer to represent him and Daphne, against Donny's lawsuit, during the time he takes a liking to her, and after Donny drops the suit, Frasier asks her out, and the two begin dating.

Later, when Frasier gets the bill he is a little taken aback at how much she charged for just talking on the phone, and while celebrating with, his dad, Niles and Daphne, plans to ask her.

While at the restaurant, they run into Donny, and find out the reason Donny dropped the lawsuit. He’s getting married, Daphne seems a little taken aback by this, so she goes to see him, and finds out that he is getting married that second, and all she wanted was closure.

Frasier still hasn’t been able to tell Abby that he thinks she overcharged him, so he sends her an e-mail they feels guilty about it, and even worse when she asks him to come over.

However Abby had a night of passion in mind, but when reading Frasier’s e-mail, gets offended, and throws him out, ending their relationship.

I loved the part where Niles ended up, riding the elevator up and down, because each time it went up, someone wanted to talk to him, and pulled him on, then he started to get sick from something he ate. It was great.moreless

  • QUOTES (10)

    • Martin: How many lawyers does it take to screw in a lightbulb?
Abby: I don't know. Depends on how many cops planted it there?

    • Frasier: No, no! Actually, I just forwarded you an ad for reduced mortgage rates.
Abby: Why are you blushing, Frasier?
      Frasier: Because they're embarrassingly low.

    • Niles: Can you imagine anything more embarrassing than seeing us here tonight?
      Abby: Your menu's on fire.
Niles: Well, yes, that would be embarrassing... OH!
(They all try to put it out)

    • Niles: This restaurant has a wonderful Roquefort ravioli.
Daphne: I kind of had my heart set on lobster. Come and help me pick one out.
Niles: I was just getting up to do that!
      Daphne: No you weren't.
      Niles: I was too.
      Both: Spooky!

    • Frasier: I admit four thousand dollars does seem rather high for phone consultations. Who the hell's she talking to?
Martin: All her friends, braggin' about the new sucker she's got on the line.

    • Niles: Frasier, these are for you. Your doorman gave them to me. Apparently some of your mail went to the wrong box. And these are for you, my love.
(He hands the flower box to Daphne)
Daphne: Oh, Niles, you spoil me.
      Niles: I picked them myself.
(She opens the box and pulls out large cookies on flower stems)
      Daphne: Ooh, Niles, cookies.
      Niles: Sweets for my sweet.
Daphne: Let's go put these in some milk.
      (They head for the kitchen)
Niles: Hey, I was just going to say that!
      Daphne: No you weren't.
      Niles: I was, I swear.
Daphne: Okay, this is gettin' spooky.

    • Abby: The pleasure's been all mine.
Frasier: Oh, you know, I'd hate to see my relationship with you end, uh, right now. I just...
      (The doors start to close)
Abby: Frasier, if you're going to ask me out, you better hurry.
Frasier: Will you go out with me?
      Abby: Yes!

    • Frasier: Oh, my. That suit is very becoming on you. Is it new?
Abby: Yes it is. And thank you for noticing, Frasier.
Frasier: No, thank you for being so, ah... noticeable.

    • Abby: All right. That's very sweet, Frasier. Thank you for escorting me.
Frasier: Oh, thank you, for being so...escortable.

    • Abby: And to think, I almost slept with you.
      Frasier: You still can!!
