    FILTER BY TYPE

    • TRIVIA (5)

      • It seems unusual that Frasier would want to hang chili pepper lights on the tree knowing that he prefers to have things classy.

      • Frasier drives a very expensive luxury car but didn't seem to think it important to lock the car while he was in the diner. This seems very odd, especially considering that the diner appeared to be in a poor part of town where the car could be considered an easy target for theft.

      • When Frasier realized he had dropped his car keys inside the diner, he went back inside to look for them. The homeless man who had collected money from the others to pay for Frasier's meal, then remarked that they weren't going to buy him dessert, too. However, Frasier had the "Christmas Platter" which came with a Yule Log for dessert. So they had already bought Frasier dessert. They all must have known this because they were all eating the Christmas Platter.

      • On Christmas day, after his radio show Frasier initially intended to have dinner at one of the fancier Seattle restaurants. He ended up at the diner because all the other restaurants were either closed or booked solid. However, he was still wearing the grungy outfit he wore into the office. Since most of the restaurants Frasier enjoys have a minimum dress code (as we saw in "Dinner at Eight"), why would he arrive at those restaurants for dinner in his grungy outfit?

      • LIfe at KACL: This marks the first appearance of "office legend" Bonnie Weems. We learn that she hosts a show about cars.

    • QUOTES (2)

      • Daphne: I promised my Uncle Jackie I'd fly down to San Francisco to be with him.
Martin: Well, I guess you should be with your family at this time of year, it's more traditional.
Daphne: Except that Jackie's a transvestite. Getting a bit long in the tooth for it too, if you ask me. Last Thanksgiving he ate too much turkey and I had to cut him out of his pantyhose.

      • (Don calls in to the show)
Don: Something happened the other day that sums up why we call this the season of giving.
Frasier: Well then, swaddle me in Christmas cheer!
Don: Okay. Well, you see, I was driving home from the gym, and I suddenly realized I had left my favorite old pair of sneakers on the roof of the car. So, I look back and there's this homeless guy, and he'd already picked them up, and he's putting 'em on. So I just thought, what the hell, and kept on driving.
Frasier: (increasingly sarcastic) So...your experience of the Christmas spirit would be that you DIDN'T slam the car into reverse, speed back there, and rip a pair of smelly old sneakers out of a homeless man's hand? Well Roz, this is special, I think we've got Santa Claus himself on the line!

    • NOTES (1)

      • At the 1993 Golden Globes, the show was nominated for Best Television Series, Musical or Comedy, Kelsey Grammer for Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series, Musical or Comedy; and John Mahoney for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Series, Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television.

    • ALLUSIONS (1)

      • Episode Title: Miracle on Third or Fourth The Street

The episode title is an obvious reference to the famous 1947 Christmas film (remade in 1994, starring Jane Leeves) Miracle on 34th Street. It makes sense, too, since downtown Seattle has no 34th Street.
