      • The title for the third scene of this episode is "A Moveable Face", an allusion to the Hemingway book, "A Moveable Feast": memoirs of his early days in Paris, published posthumously.

      • When the gang returns to KACL, Bulldog says, "It's like we're soldiers coming back from the war" and promptly grabs a passing blonde woman, bends her over backwards and kisses her. This is clearly an allusion to the famous 1945 Life magazine photograph of a returning sailor kissing his fiancĂ© in Times Square.

      • The second scene of this episode is titled "SPA VS. SPA", an allusion to Mad Magazine's "Spy vs. Spy".
