Niles embarrasses Frasier by insinuating alcoholism and mentions he acquired knowledge of wine from the bar maid with whom he "shacked up", meaning Diane Chambers.
During the ending credits when Eddie is begging, the shadow of a waving arm can be seen on the couch next to Frasier. Assumedly, this is the arm of Eddie's trainer signaling him to do the trick.
In the scene where Martin is teaching Eddie a trick in the kitchen, it is quite obvious that the stove island has been removed. This is probably due to the fact that they had to get Frasier, Martin and Eddie all in the same shot and from the angle they were shooting, you couldn't have seen Eddie very well with the island in the way.
Daphne: (to Frasier) Back in a minute, darling.
Niles: Sweetheart? Darling?
Frasier: So my date cancelled, Daphne is filling in, alright? You can't honestly think that I would end up going out with Daphne.
Niles: Well, you are a man, she is a goddess - whose bedroom is, after all, only 41 steps from your own.
Frasier: (introducing himself and Niles to a prominent member of the club they're hoping to be accepted into) Allow me, I'm Dr. Frasier Crane and this is my brother Dr. Niles Crane, the eminent psychiatrist.
Niles: Oh. My brother is too kind. He was already eminent when my eminence was merely...imminent.
Elias Davis and David Pollock were nominated for a 1995 Writers Guild of America Award for this episode.
