(Niles tries out cheeses) Niles: Oh, is it Reblochon? Robert: You are good, Dr. Crane. Martin: Yeah, he's a regular cheese whiz!
Frasier: Granted, when it comes to the looks department, Dr. Webber and I aren't in the same... Roz: Species? Frasier: Well, I was going to say "league", but species is so much more insulting!
Gil: Honestly, the conclusions people make, just because a man dresses well and knows how to use a pastry bag!
Martin: Whoa, look at all these different kinds of olive oil! Virgin, Extra Virgin...Extra Virgin, how does that work? Well, I guess if you can cure a sausage!
In this episode we first learn that Gil Chesterton is married. His wife's name is "Deb", and like Maris, she is a character we never actually see, but occasionally hear referred to - usually suggesting that she is as much "masculine" as Gil is "feminine". We also learn that Gil's middle name is Ledley, as he refers to his wife as "Mrs. Gilbert Ledley Chesterton".
The first act title "Out and In" is a play on the title of the 1997 film In and Out, where a school teacher is 'outed' by a former student on national television.
