Ooey Gooey the Snail is mentioned in the ep. "The Cloud" through a song. And in the Animaniacs ep. "Hearts of Twilight" the character Mr. Director, the first thing he says is about Ooey Gooey the snail. Paul Rugg wrote both episodes and voiced both characters that mention Ooey Gooey.

The Lobe makes a balloon animal for a small boy. The animal he makes is a Diprotodon optatum. This was a large, prehistoric marsupial similer to the wombat. They were about the size of a hippo, and became extinct about 50,000 years ago.

In the segment "Sewer Rescue", the man in the sewer that Lord Bravery is trying to rescue is referring to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. David Warner, the actor who plays The Lobe, (not featured in this episode), was in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The secret of the Ooze as Professor Jordan Perry.
