This show was basically a Freddy Krueger induced Twilight Zone. So why does no one understand how amazing this show was?
#1, Robert Englund reprising his role as Freddy Krueger, having to deal with all that heavy make-up must be torturous, even though he spent most of his time as the host, shows how devoted an actor he is to his characters and made the show that much more enjoyable for Freddy Fans.
#2, keeping Freddy around to torment the other citizens of Springwood, beyond those of the movies, was the best idea for a TV series from a movie that has ever existed!
#3, the show was able to keep the stories flowing from the first to the second, showing how Freddy's influence completely controlled the town, reflecting back on his powers from the movies. What other TV series has been able to keep the main character alive with the same actor, and use the same clever writing and dialogue that made the movie so popular in the first place?
To me, this show needs to have its re-runs back on the air, even if it's at 2am on Sci-Fi!
