Episode Summary

EDIT
Dr. Quimn, Mad Woman
AIRED:
The mild mannered Dr. Quimn (Saunders) rarely raises her voice, manages to leave all her patients asleep and is steadily driving away even her devoted Sally (fabulous Micheal Praed) and her little Fanny (French) with endless heartfelt spirits-lifting monologues of how clouds have to part for one to see the right path blah blah. Interjected are sketches: Opera songs in adverts; Star Crossed Lovers: "Ken & Em"; two women talking simultanously; Star Crossed Lovers: "David & Claudia"; the true story of what happened on Wednesday and superb Art Gallery Owners. Kate Moss guest stars in intro and end sequence proclaiming that "somewhere between crap and mediocre lies French & Saunders".moreless

      • Sally: (completely drunk) Well, if it ain't the virgin doctor!
        (Dr Quimn gasps, shocked)
Sally: Well, what do you want? There ain't no sick people around here, uh-huh.
Fanny: What's the matter with Sally? Why is he talking like that? I'm frightened!
Dr Quimn: I do not believe this. Don't you realize you're frightening my little Fanny?
Sally: Oh. (suddenly sobers up) I'm sorry. I.. I guess I'm just feeling kinda left out of your life. But I realize now drinking ain't gonna make anything better! It's a coward's way out.
        Fanny: Oh, Sally..
        (they all share a hug)
