This season has been really great. I don't know a show that stimulates as much emotion as this show does with the way the show is shot, the score/soundtrack, the way each individual actor's performances.

If it gets even decent ratings......let's cross our fingers. A friend who has DirecTV has been recording it for me and I just love Season Three.........I am even excited about NBC airing it even though I've seen the ep's......I feel that when NBC finally airs it, everyone will be watching (FNL fans that is), not just a few. This show is the best ever. Period.

I still can't believe this (probably) is gonna be the last 5 episodes/season.
Why the **** does crap like Gossip Girl, CSI and Co get renewed all the time, and gems like this noone watches..
I know. Along with House and Boston legal this is one of my absolute favorites.

Was "New York, New York" the most recent episode? That's what TV.com says and my TiVo didn't record one this week, but on another board they are saying there was a new one this week.

Also, does anyone know if they ordered 22 episodes or just 13?

There was a new episode last Wednesday, it was called "Game of the Week".
NBC will only have the 13 eps already airing.

Seeing as in how this may be the last season I think NBC should have traeted this show with a little bit of respect for once and give it a 22 episode order.

I just finished watching the first half of season 1 and if season 2 & 3 are nearly as good then it definitely deserves a 4th season. I'm a drama buff and so far this is the best teen drama I've watched, either this or One Tree Hill.

Edit: They'd be out of highschool? I don't think that'd work too well, but they could always restart the series or something. Probably wouldn't be as good though...not sure I'd want a season 4.

Season 2 has some good parts, but overall it's disappointing compared to season one. Season three goes back to the show's roots. If there were a season four, I'd only watch for the Taylors and Matt (ZG is the only one who'd be sticking around for a 4th season) I wouldn't care about the new characters.

DirecTV episodes run 45 minutes approx. The NBC episodes will be shorter. Not more than 2-3 minutes.

The finale yesterday on DirecTV was amazing BTW. Perfect ending. My eyes were a little wet more than once during the episode.

A question Lyla is so for going to Vanderbilt (did i spell it right?.
Question im not a american so my knowledge about isnt that broad. But shouldnt she apply for a Ivy league school like Yale, Harvard, princeton and stanford instead? I mean she got a good chance right? Or does Vanderbilt offer some special course shes interested in?

Vanderbilt is one of the few private universities in the southern United States that are highly regarded for their academic quality. Many southern families (like the Garritys) would take pride in sending their very talented children to Vanderbilt rather than an Ivy league school.

Time and time again i'm amazed by the talented writing and acting this show has to offer. This third season has been absolutely amazing. It is one of my to three shows fore sure. I love it so much.

I really really hope that it will be renewed, but the season 3 finale also really felt like a series finale which really sucks. Everybody (finally) finished high school so it will be tough for the show to keep it's quality and great storylines I think. Here is hoping for the best though.

Also I don't get why there isn't more forum discussion about this show. It it one of the best and a lot of lesser shows get talked about a bunch.
