Singh was born in Dhirana, Himachal Pradesh, India in 1972. At a young age, he had to help provide for his family, and worked many odd jobs. Later in his life, he found he had exceptional talent in sports, and began extensive bodybuilding to further his skill. He was also instated to the Punjab Police Department. In his 20's, he began training as a wrestler. He worked for All Pro Wrestling in the United States, and in Japan. In 2001, Brian Ong, a trainee, offered to take a flapjack from Singh. Ong received the move incorrectly, and died from a concussion. He had previously had a concussion, and did not tell trainers, leading to his death. Singh was not held responsible. Later in his career, he began working for New Japan Pro Wrestling. There, he teamed with fellow giant Giant Silva. They were the tallest team in professional wrestling history, at an average height of 7'2". In 2006, Singh signed a contract with World Wrestling Entertainment, and began training at subordinate company Deep South Wrestling. He debuted on WWE TV on the April 7, 2006 edition of Smackdown!, decimating The Undertaker, and being managed by Daivari. He went on to squash The Undertaker at the Judgment Day 2006 pay-per-view. For weeks, he squashed other wrestlers, including the World Champion, until The Great American Bash 2006, in which he was scheduled to face The Undertaker in a Punjabi Prison match. However, he was not able to compete due to elevated enzymes in his liver, and was replaced by The Big Show. Undertaker went on to win the match. Only a few weeks later, Khali suffered his first loss, losing to The Undertaker in a Last Man Standing match. He was knocked out after being brutalized with a steel chair. He was out of action for months due to surgery on his knees. On Halloween, Khali and Daivari re-debuted on ECW. For weeks, Daivari defeated opponents while Khali manhandled them after the match. This led to a mini-feud with Tommy Dreamer, which Khali easily won. On the January 8 edition of RAW, Khali again changed shows. He defeated WWE Champion John Cena by disqualification after Cena used a steel chair, and continued in his ways of squashing opponents. Since he moved to RAW, he is no longer managed by Daivari.moreless
