Who will become the top heel on SmackDown now Del Rio is gone?

Personally, I think a heel turn for Christian or Orton right now would be a terrible move, as they are both great choices for the top 2 faces of SmackDown. Christian is riding the momentum of Edge's retirement, so it would be disastrous to turn him now, and I think there is a lot more money left in Orton as a face.

Of course, they could have Christian and Orton in a face vs face feud over the World Title for the next few months, then draft over a heel from Raw with Money In The Bank.

It has to be Christian. No one else can step up in that area right now. Scruffy Randy is way too popular at the moment.

Barrett is just not there anymore and I don't think the fans even care.

Kane, he's just enhancement talent. He could be a great heel fodder for a great face person to help them in the ring and on the mic.

Right now, I'll say Mark Henry.

I'd be very surprised to see Henry pushed as a main eventer, but saying that, he's probably a better choice than Barrett or Kane right now, in the short term anyway.

There are plenty of new people for Barrett to feud with and rebuild himself as a strong Intercontinental Champion before returning to the main event scene.

Not now, but in the future, Orton could become a heel again, because even the most popular superstars become heels.

If they are not turning him face on return I would definitely say Jericho without shadow of a doubt.

And you folks already pointed out why they won't make Christian or Randy heel. But still I would believe if they won't give Christian that title this Sunday they should consider making him heel because there will be no reason having him as face any more.

Sheamus should be top heel...The fella is improving both in ring wise and personality wise.

When the Orton-Christian feud is over, I'd love to see Cody rise up and feud with Orton. Rhodes has come a long way since the Orton-Legacy feud.
