There's a slight change to the release date of the WCW Nitro themed set, now scheduled for release on Tuesday June 7th. It looks like the official title is "The Very Best of WCW Nitro" and we can confirm this will be a 3-Disc DVD set, hosted by DDP.

Encouraging news concerning Austin/Rock: The Rivalry on DVD & Blu-ray. This remains scheduled and has actually been pushed forward with a new planned release date in October 2011. It was previously listed for December, so that's a step in the right direction.

I'm really interested in these two a lot. I of course think WCW Nitro should have been a whopping 4-5 discs set.

The Nitro dvd should be good. Like you said, hopefully it will be 4-5 discs.

I completely agree. The HBK match was wayyy better.

    New stuff:

    :
On the latest full year DVD schedule we received from WWE this month there is an empty slot for a new release in November.

Right now there are three DVD titles being considered for this slot and we can exclusively reveal them now. It's not at all certain WWE will choose one of these but we can 100% confirm they are being talked about within the company.

Edge – If this was chosen it would be the second WWE DVD released on Edge. Since the first, Decade of Decadence, was a match compilation we could assume if this goes ahead it would include a biographical type featue on this whole career. With rumors out there that Edge is soon retiring from WWE a new DVD may make sense.

Best of War Games – A multi-disc NWA/WCW themed DVD release showcasing the War Games match (1987-1998 ) is the second option for the "TBD" slot as of now. As we know WCW related content on WWE DVDs tends to prove very popular, so bringing out a set compiling matches with a gimmick synonymous with WCW may just happen.

Brock Lesnar – This is a very controversial one since Lesnar has not been associated with WWE since leaving in 2004, and eventually moving on to mixed martial arts in UFC. We're not sure how likely this is to actually happen but it's down on WWE's schedule right now as being considered for release. It would be their second Brock DVD.

This would no doubt be a way of capitalizing on the recent success and notoriety of the former UFC Heavyweight Champion, whilst putting their footage of his short professional wrestling career in WWE to good use. Bound to sell well, but would they do it?

With that War Games DVD, I want my COC (Clash Of Champions) full set damit!

I have that Lesnar DVD and I don't think I ever opened it. Same with the Rey Mysterio one.

When did Orton film his movie? Was it in the fortnight he took off after he lost the Championship last year?

It was last August and I think John Cena was the one with the championship at that time.

Randy Orton has a role as the father of the school bully and is described as "pitch-perfect" in his role. It should be noted this is the best review any of the films WWE has produced has received.
I'm not surprised. I can't wait to see it.

We can now confirm the new Rey Mysterio DVD that WWE had planned is indeed going ahead, and it will be released on July 19th to North America.

The full title has not yet been decided but it will be a 3-Disc DVD set, with catalog "WWE94966″ and UPC code 651191949663.

Greatest Stars of the New Millenium is also now confirmed for release, and we can reveal that this will be released on both 3-Disc DVD and 2-Disc Blu-ray on July 26th.

Both titles are soon to be listed on retail sources, ready to order.

Before those two, WWE's cage match themed 3-Disc DVD will hit stores on June 28th. It's official title is to be The Greatest Cage Matches of All Time. This is billed as having unedited action from AWA, WCCW, Smokey Mountain, WCW, WWE and more.

It looks like the Blu-ray/DVD combo packs for WWE pay-per-views have stopped for now. Extreme Rules, Over The Limit and Fatal Four Way are all scheduled as standard Blu-ray editions in North America. No sign of the PPV name "Capitol Punishment" yet.

the austin/rock rivalry dvd grabs my attention, but what else are they going to add to it besides the 3 matches they've had?

in this case, or any case for that matter, i'd prefer they make a mankind/rock dvd, one of the most underrated feuds and an awesome series of matches to include, rock n' sock connection included

I think it's going be their IC Championship feud along with the Corporation stuff, not just their main event matches.
