WWE Friday Night SmackDown

The Undertaker and Kane talking about demons and resting in piece in the year 2010? Just embarrassing. This comes off as so childish, but even the younger viewers have to be disappointed with this. Give Alberto del Rio the title already! I've been saying it for weeks but the guy is awesome. What is even more incredible is how he has been able to completely change his style from his days as Dos Caras Jr.



Another terrible episode of WWE Friday Night Smackdown, a series that is not exactly gaining momentum as it preps for its move to cable television on Syfy.

Although this wasn't a horrible show, there were a lot of filler matches that didn't really do anything for the show.



Match #1: No DQ: Rey Mysterio vs Kane



I could tell this wasn't going to be a great show when they moved the Main Event which this was first up in the show. This should been on for last. Decent for what it is. You knew Kane would win, but Rey does the best he can. The use of the chairs and kendos do make this memorable. Match #2: JTG vs CM Punk



After Jtg's brief push following Cryme Tyme push he's back to jobbing though if you have to job to somebody you job to one of the strong stables, the Straight Edge Society. Match #3: Intercontinental Championship: Kofi Kingston vs Dolph Ziggler



This and the Nodq match were the best parts tonight. Both Kofi and Dolph are basically there as far as popularity goes, so the bookers came up with right conclusion to have the match end in a countout. Kofi looks strong while Dolph keeps the title.



Match #4: MVP vs Jack Swagger



As the Wwe is trying effectively to make Jack into a strong heel, they are also using all of the angles that put Kurt Angle over when he was with the company, the wrestling invitational.



Jack wins this very easily with his collegiate background. He then beats up Mvp for great measure. Jack will now his own Vip lounge. Basically this will be a Jack / Mvp feud. Midcard material. Not great, but not awful either.



Match #5: Alberto Del Rio vs Job Boy



Horrible booking here. Alberto scores an impressive victory over Rey last week, so why the hell is wrestling a jobber? Totally unimpressed with this victory. Even Drew Mcintyre was put through more competition than this. However, it is the second week of his start here. To get him credibility, he'll have to go through the roster and get impressive wins. Winning against a jobber is a setback in my book.



Match #5: Big Show vs Luke Gallows



Basically a squash match. Not much needs to be said. I have to admit this feud with Big Show needs to take a different route. The Return of The Undertaker Very well done. This and the Nodq match along with Ic match were the highlights of the show here.



Undertaker and Kane trade insults and history. Stuff that we've heard before, however, seeing as this might the last time this two wrestle before they retire, I can't say it was done badly.



The show was ok. While it wasn't awful, the two filler matches and a routine match with Big Show and Luke did not make this a great show.
