Pretty good show. Leading up to the Money in the Bank Ppv things are really getting interesting. No one guy looks like he would win everybody seems to have a shot at it. Jack Swagger promo
Good promo by Jack. Says he was cheated out of the title, then shows us the video of him putting the ankle lock on Big Show ala Kurt Angle. Jack is starting to really come along as a heel. He's great on the mic with or without a title. You can see the guy's confidence start to grow now that he's a big part of the show. Eventually we learn that the Main Event will be Swagger and Rhodes against the Big Show and Rey. Match #1: Kofi Kingston vs Dolph Ziggler
Very, very good. Really competitive essentially this was Dolph's last chance to get to get a title shot at Ic title for a while. He almost pulls it out but Kofi holds on. Match #2: Kane vs Luke Gallows
Pretty much just a confrontation. Kane cleans house, then Serena comes out and shows us evidence that Cm Punk is innocent of attacking Undertaker. Interesting turn. I wonder who'll be the scapegoat here. Swagger? Since they did originally have planned Swagger and Undertaker for Summerslam.
Match #3: MVP vs Chavo Guerrero
Poor Chavo is pretty much a jobber at this point in his career. Mvp gets the win.
Match #4: Kelly Kelly vs Michelle McCool
Remarkably good match considering it's Kelly Kelly. Her ringwork has gotten a lot better and the pairing with Tiffany seems to be popular among the fans.
The Peep Show with Christian and Matt Hardy Really good segment with two participants in the Money in the Bank. Christian and Matt give pretty good performances saying how they've always been overlooked by the Wwe even though they've done it all in the Wwe except gotten a Main title run. The segment worked because all of it is true. Christian is pretty much ready for the World title but politics and popularity have forced him to take a backseat to the likes of Swagger, Hhh, and Undertaker. It was a good segment to build up Money in the Bank. Match #5: Rey Mysterio & The Big Show vs Jack Swagger & Cody Rhodes.
Good tag match. Seeing as they are building Swagger to be a top heel the match follows last week outing with Swagger getting disqualified, we get the same result here. Swagger counters Rey's move and then doesn't release the ankle lock. A big melee ensues with Big and Rey out while Swagger and Rhodes are on top. I thought this was a good way to end the show by showing meanness and his deadly new finisher the ankle lock. This is all shades of Kurt Angle right here. The Wwe has done a pretty decent job of remaking Swagger into a talent that should be taken seriously. Whether he has a title or not doesn't seem to be the issue, his character has really developed to be a main point of the show.
