  • In the Main Event Jack Swagger takes on Big Show

    Good show

They are trying to make Jack Swagger into the next Kurt Angle and they have succeeded. Since Swagger has introduced the Ankle lock as one of his new weapons, he has been on a tear.

The sneak attack on Rey was absolutely brilliant. This was a page out of Kurt Angle. It builds up more heat for the impressive Swagger who has been built as a strong contender for the title.

This is something that Tna fails to do consistently, that is take a superstar and build him up week after week. There's never a doubt as to if he's a face or heel, or where he's headed. The Swagger sneak attacks also builds up the Main Event match Swagger and Rey at the Money in the Bank ppv. Anybody, who can't comprehend that doesn't really understand how wrestling works.

Match #1: MVP vs Dolph Ziggler vs Chavo Guerrero

In his last chance, Dolph qualifies for the Money in the Bank. Match #2: Matt Hardy & Christian vs Curt Hawkins & Vance Archer

Good match eventually Christian following last week's action leaves Matt high and dry. Good way to built up some momentum for Christian.

Match #3: Kofi Kingston vs Drew McIntyre

Good match eventually Drew gets the win. He has been improving his ringwork, so he gets rewarded by having a spot in the Ppv.

Match #4: JTG vs Cody Rhodes

    Another pretty competitive match.

Match #5: The Big Show vs Jack Swagger

Big Show takes apart Swagger for the bulk of the match. Then on the outside, Jack sees the opportunity and takes out Big's knee enabling him to go to work on the ankle lock.

Eventually, this leads to big fight on the outside with Swagger once again showing why he's a dangerous guy. Then Kane comes out to temporarily destroy Swagger reign of glory.

All in all this was another good show. Overall, a lot of competitive matches and good buildup for the Ppv.moreless

If Jack Swagger pulling on a 5'3" man's leg for 10 minutes is something you would enjoy then tonight's episode of Smackdown is right up your alley.

I have said before how awful this show has become, and while it was not that bad this week, it is still not must-see TV and that is not just because it is not on NBC Thursdays.

Vance Archer and Curt Hawkins winning that tag due to a dispute being Christian and Hardy was so predictable. If only WWE tried new things instead of rehashing every single storyline week after week maybe this show would still be on broadcast TV and not Syfy in a few months.moreless
