  • Elimination Chamber qualifying matches and the return of Edge to SmackDown!

    9.5
I really enjoyed this week's edition of Smackdown. John Morrison vs Kane vs Drew McIntyre and Rey Mysterio vs Dolph Ziggler were the best matches, and the Cutting Edge (Edge's talk show segment) was also a highlight.

The show was based around the matches, which may sound like an obvious point regarding a wrestling show, but unfortunately this is very often not the case (see most editions of Monday Night Raw).

Giving the younger superstars a chance to shine is what SmackDown is doing very well at the minute, with CM Punk's Straight Edge Society being given plenty of air time and the likes of John Morrison, Drew Mcintyre and R Truth being pushed.

The Cutting Edge featured some of the best men on the mic in wrestling today (minor spoiler: Chris Jericho and the Straight Edge Society enter the ring) so when there wasnt wrestling happening, it was still genuinely interesting.

Everything was timed well (nothing went on too long), the matches were great, and I really want to see Elimination Chamber now, so a very successful show that I'd definitely reccomend watching.moreless
