It's generally well accepted that Jonathan Ross is one of the funniest men on our TV and radio shows, and this Friday night chat show of is is certainyl his greatest achievement.
Ross is funny consistently throughout each and every episode. The audience usually get very involved with his interviews, as do the guests who Ross frequently takes jabs at safe in the knowledge that no-one will tell him off for it! His interviewees are generally well picked and are frequently funny themselves, though occasionally a guest appears to not want to get too involved; quite a shame.
The '4 Poofs and a Piano' section openings are class, and are the icing on a very delicious cake. Let's hope the show continues for a good few series yet!
Been watching this show since it began and it keeps getting better and better purely because of the personality and charisma of Johnathon Ross.
He is not interested in bestowing his guests with platitudes or treacle-heavy praise, he is more intent with coming on to the female guests up until the point where they no longer can tell if he is joking and digging at his male guests with underhand putdowns in comparison to himself.
One of the most consistent features of the show is the reaction of the American guests who, through confused features, regularly comment that they don't face this type of inquest on American Tv. And that is the appeal of Johanthon Ross, nor quiet like anybody else.
I can watch and laugh at this show whether I know the guests or not, it's just so brilliant! It's always extra good when it's a celebrity I know and like but I watch it every week whatever. Johnathan Ross doesn't treat the guests any special, he really makes them work for it and the ones that really rise to the challenge and make him laugh are that bit more funny. It's the only chat show on TV I actually watch and it's just hilarious!
I remember when I watched the episode with Daniel Radcliffe, I don't think I've ever laughed so hard it was just funny beyond funny!
Also, on top of all of that you get to listen to some great music at the end of the show and see clips of up and coming films. Just an entertaining show!
Ever bored on a Friday Night? Watch this- Johnathan Ross, comedy, talks about the issues of life in this comedy talk show. I suggest you watch this because it even had ME on the floor with laughter. Seriously, go put your TV on and watch this show before you decomedize before the world knows it!
I've never seen pete doherty before other than in the papers and this show completely changed my view of him, he was sensitive, the handshake after Jonathan Ross said he could stay in his caravan was amazing I couldn't help but feel sorry for him, and i hope he finds his place in this world and be the best poet and song creator of are time and fulfill his potiental.
I wish him the best of luck in his fight against drugs and now am just hoping he wants to fight them, or use them correctly atleast.
This is a chat show with the host Jonathan Ross. He interviews guests on his couch but unlike other chat shows he gets all of the guests involved in an interview. There is a large screen which shows the other guests relaxing back in the green room but they aren't safe just because they are back there. Each guest gets a song about them from the group of gay guys who are also on the stage. Jonathan makes the show different and funny in the way that he interviews his celb guests. He makes fun of the guys and hits on the women that come on his show.
Classic line from big Pete
\"Socks down around the ankles, foot on the ball\"
I must say that this line is classic if pete doherty was on every week I wolud definetely watch all the time.
If jonathan ross got pete on every week I would get a bonar ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
This episode is one of the best things I have ever seen ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !! ! ! ! ! ! !
It is getting boring seeing Riky Gervais who I don not like anyway as a talent. It is obvious Jonathan has been rail-roaded into promoting Ricky as a friend. Having Ricky on the show was not cool; the interview not funny or informative. It is affecting Jonathans ratings to have Ricky on the show because I’ll not watch the show at all if RG is ever on it again. Last night’s show lowered incredibly my opinion of the whole show. I have always loved it.
The late night chat show is one of the best in the UK. Hosted by Jonathan Ross, this chat show has three different guest stars every week. Disscussions can often get very funny as many comedians and film stars are on the show. Friday Night With Jonathon Ross has their own house band, 4 Poofs and a Piano. they sing to the intro of every guest. their is also music by a different band at the end of the show every week. In the past Jonathon has has guests such as Sir Ian Mckellan, Bruce Willis, Pete and Nikki, Ricky Gervais, Adam Sandler and so on. I would definitely reccommend this show. So Tune in every Friday Night!
Like i said its great! however Ricky is getting on the show too much now, but he does have some great celebs on a some that i thought had ..died lol!
Love the four poofs and the piano as they make me laugh everytime and they have been doing some great charity work lately which is more than good
Jonathan Ross is funny two as he has a good laugh with the celebs and puts them on the spot which is great.
pee myself evertime we says something with a w instead of saying right lol
Get better celebs though like them off lost again and Gorillaz that are great on the show 2....xxx
u have to love this guy... he's funny, honest and dosent give a crap who he takes the piss out of... u watch im and ur in stitches... u also get the low down on the latest movies and gossip. he's guest are also funny and keep u laughing though the entire show. he is the best best best best best best best best.... comedian reality tv star on the box today, he even does the films of 2007 and so on late at night, if u dont watch... were the hell have u been. stop watching other shows and start with this. xxx total of 8.
There is no comparison to Jonathan Ross in the world, he is outragous (some may say rude) but funny. The questions he asks are very strange and are in some ways similar to questions that Craig Feguson asks on the Late Late Show. The interviews are well structured and include information about upcoming films or albums of his guests and also probes of personal life.
The show is possibly the best mix of interview and fun of any show of its kind. His guests are good and are all put at ease by his style.
Unlike any other show there is a camera in the "green room" where upcoming guests are waiting and interactions with them are good. The audience is allowed to connect with the guests more than just in their interview.
His house band "Four Poofs and a Piano" are great and add to the fantastic mood created by the show.
ross just does not push it out . it comes naturally and that is why the show magnificent. i dont know why it is not higher in the rank but it sure is better that all them other talk shows. especially tyra banks's one. i just hate that show and people find it entertaining. i dont know what to say them must have their reasons but i dont get it at all. evidance of the quality of the show is the fact that the guests are world class at their profesion. hugh jackman (although i understand how annoying he is), halle berry, ross (from friends), jim carrey and several other people including comedians. they show is very entertaining and i never miss it.
The Jonathan Ross Show is compulsory Friday night viewing. With his cheeky brand of humour, Jonathan interviews famous guests like Quentin Tarantino, Richard Hammond, Nigella Lawson and Elijah Wood plus he has loads of great music from the likes of Guillemots, Jarvis Cocker, The Fratellis, etc. It's fun and a bit saucy and it's great to see the reactions of the other guests in the green room while he's interviewing whoever's on the couch. He never lets up and he always goes for the embarassing question and the guests seem to like it. Plus, his house band, 4 Poofs and a Piano are entertaining with their weird harmonic versions of hit songs.
Johnathan Ross is simply brilliant on this show!the guests that come on this show are just fabulous, I don't think there is anyone out there that wouldn't want to be on this talk show. He gets all the biggest stars from Britain and America on his show, and all are equally amused by his humour. He asks the embarrassing questions that other shows would be afraid to ask but because Ross is so funny and charming he can get away with so much. I just adore 4 poofs and a piano and their choice of song for each guest is just classic! I also really love how he engages the other guests in the green room in all the interviews. All-in-all this is just great TV, very entertaining and always funny. And of course his accent is just brilliant and completely adds to his charm.
I have just got in after 3 glasses of wine, having not drank for 3 moths ( oh Shi*e, I mean months) and missed the first part of yr show. Where the F="k r the poofs? Saw them on the QM2 in April 2007 and it was the best night ever. My apologies if they are away but am devasated if you have got rid of them - there are just a herd of trendy black dudes on (mind you, they are good, hubby reckons it's the drifters). Your show is just ace Jon, we have Russell Brand and Daniel Craig on Keep series link as we cannot bear to get rid of it and we keep watching it. Even our 12 year old thinks it's great. Watched Sh!te Alan Carr at a mates tonight and guessed your and Paul's mum before the first question! Love, love love the show Chris and Rach Moreman xxxx
A Friday Night Talk Show hosted by Jonothan Ross the radio dj and presenter. Each week a few celebrity guests appear and talk to him with the usual gags and jokes Jonothan always creates. At the end of the show a top band/performer plays their latest song.
I really love this talk show and think it is an amazing friday night show. The only downside is it runs in with a number of other great tv shows and chat shows.I think Jonothan Ross is brilliant and is just hilariously funny. His guests are always very A-List and are always a true delight to watch being interviewed, they usually go along with his jokes as well and are in good humour.I do find a flaw in this seemingly spectacular talk show and that is his ever present band "Four Puffs and a Piano" who play a little song intro for each guest as they walk on to chat with Ross.I find them quite irritating.
Jonathon Ross is possibly one of the bravest and cheekiest of talk show hosts, yet he manages to balance this with a genuine interest in the guest. It almost seems effortless the way Ross manages to consistently have a laugh with the biggest stars on the planet, yet he can also be very serious when the need arises (very personal conversation etc). He is a brilliantly modern chat show host who will hopefully be doing this for some time. With the retirement of Parkinson he is THE place for celebrities to go on UK TV. I think he should clearly be on American TV as well; it would be both shock and awe for the Americans. Letterman is very good but isn't quite as surprising as Jonathon with his often hilarious comments. Who else would be candid enough to say to Tom Hanks "what the **** was that!" in regards to his attempted British accent. A brilliant show
Jonathon Ross is not just a talk show host he is a brillant comedian whoses never short of a gag n a joke or two. this show combines interviews with celebraties with humour were jonathon isnot afraid to asks the hard questions or take the p*** either. He is very charming and is able to deal with any celebraty and any situation as he can think no his feet very well. This type of talkshow/comedy is very rare and unique. Then theres is sharp suits which are so striking that they have become part of the show. And then theres is the four poofs and a piano the house band who have a song for every guest!!!
He is joined by Meet the Parents star Ben Stiller, TV wildlife guru and zoologist Charlotte Uhlenbroek, Star wars and Trainspotting star Ewan McGregor, and Rap Superstar Eminem. Great show, fantastic guests and good humor throughout the show.
Best show of the series. Going to be very hard to beat. While Uhlenbroek wasn't as well know as the others she was a good guest making it her own. Stiller was reserved but had some fantastic humorous lines. He had a lot of banter with Ross and it was very good to watch. McGregor took the audience's appeal and was very down to earth coming on in just a cardigan. Great descriptions of movies. A very good guest. Eminem was always going to be a wild card but he participated well, stole the show and performed well. Fantastic show.
Every Friday night, Jonathan Ross always has a very interesting line up of stars (Current, or up and coming). On a weekly basis, Jonathan is very entertaining and interesting. With his comedy and interesting questions, Jonathan fits into the 'interview roll' perfectly.
Every Friday I always record or try my best to watch Jonathan and the stars in action, since it's always interesting and very funny. Jonathan always seems to have trick up his sleeve, which makes everything even more important.
If you haven't watched Friday Night with Jonathan Ross, but you're interested, it is a great show with a lot of comedy and interesting questions for stars. Almost every time I watch the show, I learn something new about a star, it's great.
Overall, I would give this show a 10/10, since I love it that much.
I think Friday night with Jonathan Ross is a decent little show he has probably got the best talk show in the United Kingdom and every week he has atleast one good guest so really you normally get what your looking for. The stars on the show always have a laugh with the host Jonathan Ross and I always like to see what bands are like at the end of the show. I really like the episodes with a lot of well known peaople in it but in the last series it was a bit spread out and not as good so hopefully BBC shorten down his season so he can have better guests on each episode.
On the 6/25/2010 showing of "Friday Night with Jonathan Ross" he had three of the cast members of the hit American show "GLEE" and they cut 20 minutes from the show and a large part of the "GLEE" casts interview! All week prior to the showing they showed promo clips of part of the interview that did not make it to the friday night showing. The start time of Johathan's show was pushed back 20 minutes to make room for two 40 minute showing of "Not Going Out." I am saddened to think that BBC America and the people who produce "Friday Night" care so little for the America viewers. Shame on you BBC America and Jonathan Ross!!!
