Thanks for the info and link. I found out about the dvd release on a F13th myspace fanpage. I'm very exicted after all these years the show will be released on dvd. Hopefully it will have commentary footage of the cast.

I just hope it's not too expensive for the first season. I know amazon.com is taking pre orders for the fall 2008 release. Just in time for Halloween...

This is good news! Too bad they don't do the same w/ Freddy's Nightmares...though I wouldn't buy it cause I have a custom made version...well, I'd buy it I guess just to boost sales so they'd come out w/ season 2....but I'm excited about F13...I'll be looking for it!

I just took a look at the artwork, though it's a bit SAW-ish, I love it. Hope they don't change a thing!!!

I'm only interested in buying the "Ryan" Seasons. The show was at its best with John D. Lemay, Louise Robey, and Chris Wiggins! However, the show was not the same after John D. Lemay (Ryan) left. I missed him so much.

I know what you mean Fallon, the show was at it's best with Ryan. The show wasn't the same without him.

Just a note here...reading the latest article at TVShowsonDVD, it seems the set is going to be sold in the US only to start...very odd...

That is odd, usually dvds come out in Asian or European countries first.......

I saw the cover art for the back on the dvd today at a myspace fan page. I kinda liked the back art then the front with the skull. I think whoever made the final art decision for the front art probably should have decided to use the crystal glass vase that explodes in the opening credits of the show. Just my opinion....

Wow, this is awesome news! I think I've been waiting for this to come out on DVD for about 10 years at least. Nothing sucked more than going to Best Buy and seeing a bunch of really awful old shows brand new to DVD by the score, while decent shows like Friday the 13th: The Series got the shaft. I'm getting seasons 1 & 2 for sure.

The possible cover art is pretty cool and all, but to me it just doesn't look like it fits with the show. Hell, even that cymbal-clapping chimp might be an improvement. Maybe not

    Hi, Black_Crusher

    Welcome to the board!

I'm only getting the Ryan seasons as well.

I agree that the possible cover art doesn't fit the show.

the cover is kind of weird, lol. It doesn't really scream F13th. Why couldn't they have used a still of the intro from the show? Or maybe the interior of the shop? Something that says Curious Goods, you know?

I agree Valleri. The tombstone would have been a great idea as well, and also what about the lantern during the intro of the show that says "friday the 13th", but then explodes and "the Series" appears. I think it was a lamp or a lantern.

I think it was a crystal bowl. Or that's how I remember it. It's been awhile since I last saw a show, and that was on the Sci-Fi channel years ago.

You're right, Black Crusher. I think it was a crystal bowl also. I think the crystal bowl would have been better for the artwork.

Welcome Black Crusher!!! I think the art cover should have something that dealt with the store and the crystal bowl. Hopefully the art will change when the release of season 2 comes out.....

I just wonder who is producing the dvds, is it Paramount or another co.?
