  • A cursed mulcher from the 1930s creates money out of victims based on their net worth or 'value'. A bitter gardener kills people, gradually working up to his very wealthy boss.moreless

    8.5
A great episode! The cursed storyline is really creepy (perhaps a foreshadow to the film "Fargo") and the secondary story about what Micki has to give up is sincerely touching. A wealthy widower is creating a large park as a fitting memorial to her late husband. The villain is one of the gardeners, bitter and in debt, who learns that if he puts people into the semi-portable garden mulcher, it will spit out money equal to the victims financial value. Meanwhile, Lloyd shows up and puts pressure on Micki to finally marry him and settle down. He refuses to believe in the supernatural, but offers Micki a last chance at having a life that is conventional and financially comfortable.

In the end, Micki chooses to continue her work at the antique store. The villain is killed by the cursed object (producing no money) and Lloyd is never seen or heard from again.moreless
  • One of the nastier episodes...involving a cursed mulcher....

    8.0
This installment involves a cursed mulcher that produces money in quantities based on the monetary value of the victims that are fed to it by an unscrupulous gardener. Needless to say, this is one of the more gruesome episodes in the series as Micki and Ryan try and retrieve the mulcher even as it grinds up more victims. The episode wraps up with a nice twist as the evil gardener gets his just reward ( nice remark by Jack about it, hehe...)

Overall, a pretty good episode. Nice acting by those depicted though the subplot about Micki's former boyfriend really didn't need to be there as the actor added little to the episode.moreless
