  • A better episode than the pilot. Still cheesy though, but that's not going to change.

In a step above the pilot episode, this episode of "Friday the 13th" concerns a quill pen that brings to life any evil "prophecy". Said quill pen is located in a monastery that has gained attention because of several prophecies of death which have come true.

Micki and Ryan learn that the quill pen was sold from their store and dress as monks to infiltrate the monastery. The episode, unlike the first, has a bit of mystery to it which unfolds nicely over the course of the episode.

I found the episode to be quite enjoyable. I enjoyed the mystery, although it wasn't that complicated, and thought that the cast shone throughout the episode. I like Ryan's personality and Micki is a fun-to-watch somewhat diva type. The worst part of the episode: When a blade from a guillotine chases a monk around.moreless
