The Quilt of Hathor (1)
AIRED:
A cursed quilt, which allows the person underneath it to dream their enemies to death, finds its way into an Amish-like "Pennitite" community. A plain woman stumbles upon it and uses it to kill her rivals for the community leader's hand in wedlock. Ryan attempts to infiltrate the community, and falls for the daughter of the leader. After securing (what he thinks is) the quilt for Jack and Micki, Ryan decides to stay with a newfound love. However, Jack and Micki soon discover that they have a fake quilt when it burns so they head back to find the real one and rescue Ryan from the clutches of the community leader and his wife. Ryan decides to stay with a newfound love, believing that the Quilt of Hathor is destroyed. Little do he and the others know that the quilt was recovered by the community's leader, the father of Ryan's girlfriend, who has his own dark purpose for it.moreless

One of the more memorable episodes as this was the first two parter in the series. It's also one of the few times that Ryan's love interest actually survives.

Micki and Ryan go undercover to a Pennitite area where mysterious murders are going on. It seems a cursed quilt is the culprit. The quilt has the power for the person who has to enter someone's dream or nightmare and kill them.

Eventually they learn that Effie Stokes one of the people in this community is behind it. She's trying to marry the Reverend in the area who holds power over everyone else. Getting the quilt back isn't easy because Effie is one step ahead of the duo making things is that Ryan's lust for Laura, a soon to be married woman is causing a lot of anger from this people toward Ryan.

It was a great episode. You can tell that they spent money here as the dream/nightmares show the victims all dressed like wealthy Victorians. The deaths are memorable. The side story with Ryan was ok. The cliffhanger for the first part was great setting up the much needed conclusion for the next episode.moreless
