I wasn't disgusted, because they seemed to genuinely love each other. Plus, when I was in high school (I was 18 ) there was also a teacher I wouldn't have mind hooking up with... And still there are much older women I wouldn't reject: I'm 22 now but no way in the world I would turn down e.g. Madonna, who is about to turn 50!

you toyboy you but it's true though, why do people in relationships have to be in the same age bracket to be considered normal.

I wasn't disgusted, I've never really thought about that ...it was funny and I didn't care that much, I would if I was his sister like Phoebe was, but I wouldn't have been disgusted I would be worried if she is capable of making him happy and that is all it matters!

Well, in my defense, the teacher was only in her twenties. And Madonna is still hot, so...

Exactly. Nobody was grossed out when Richard and Monica started dating, right? It only got disgusting when she also tried to date his son in season 4...

I think the factor there is partly that Frank and Alice were quite...open about their relationship, they started making out very passionately in public. Personally I didn't like Richard and Monica as a couple that much either. With Ross and Elizabeth, I never thought they were very serious about it. I mean, it never looked like they would actually move in together or anything.

It might also be because for some reason the age difference between Frank and Alice was really visible, much more visible than between the others, at least in my opinion.

It's not the age thing that was meant to be funny, it was the over the top PDA.
