Alright if you say so.....the shark porn thing I actually thought was very funny, when she goes do you want me to get in the tub and thrash? and shes being all serious I lose it every time...the whole joey speaking french thing was dumb. Not even Joey is that dumb to say something that totally sounds the opposite of what Phoebe was saying...it was like a filler episode.

I found TOW The Sharks to be one of the funniest Friends episodes ever!

Monica : Guess what I saw!
    Rachel : What?
    Monica : I saw Chandler...molesting himself.
Rachel : Ew. That can't have been pretty.
Monica : The strange thing was, it was to a shark attack show. Chandler watches shark porn!!

^That is one of the most lol moments ever. Ross and Phoebe's storyline is a masterpiece too imo (the whole 'Vickrum' thing).

Ross : And I am also going to say, what I am about to say, these are thee, the following. Phoebe has never been in a serious relationship...SINCE, her super-serious relationship with Vickrum. Hey, that's a real name!

And I love it how Monica buys Chandler the shark video. I know it's a crazy situation, but Monica was willing to get into the bathtub and 'thrash' for Chandler. I loved this bit too.

I also love the bit where Monica and Rachel talk about guys, and Rachel reveals that Ross used to want to pretend she was a naughty cave woman who he unfroze from a block of ice. lol. Then Rachel says 'Guys do things that we can't understand.' and then Joey walks in, slams the door, and announces that he's slept with a girl twice, and they didn't remember each other. I also like it when Monica asks

Monica : Joey, do sharks turn you on in any way?
Joey : No...wait, what was the little mermaid?

    and I like

Phoebe : If you hadn't just had a baby with my best friend, I swear to Lucifer, a rabid dog would be biting your danglers right now. (Boy, Phoebe got angry in this episode).

Anyways, yeah, I'm a major fan of TOW Sharks.

TOW Joey Speaks French is a different matter. I didn't find Joey's storyline funny, except where he talks to his radio, and where Phoebe gets angry continually, and the scene where Joey does his audition. I loved the Rachel/Ross and the Monica/Chandler storylines, so in that episode there were only about 4 Joey scenes I didn't like, but it is the worst episode in season 10 imo (but better than many season 1 episodes).

I was surprised to see many fan videos of TOW Joey Speaks French on youtube, and one of them has about 200 replies with people saying how funny Joey speaking French incorrectly is. My mum, is a French teacher, and she says she gets students doing that a lot, so maybe that storyline isn't too stupid for Joey. After all, this is the person who took about 3 minutes to realize Ursala and Phoebe had a birthday on the same day because they are twins, and who thought the little mermaid was a shark. lmao.

Yeah I really didnt like the one where Joey speaks french, although I forgot what else happens in that episode, is that the one where rachel goes on the swing to get over her fear? If so then that part is okay but i could live without it. I do like season 1 though, not as much as the other seasons but it does have its good qualities. The clothes drive me nuts though most times im like monica what are you wearing, youre 22 or something not 60!! haha

^Oh yeah, don't get me started on the clothes they wear in season 1! I know it was 14 years ago and everything, but still, some of the outfits made me cringe.

Then we have season 10, which is on the other end of the spectrum, and they all dress like celebrities. I guess they are richer, and Joey actually is a celebrity though.

I prefer them to dress like celebrities, even if it is unrealistic, because they simply look nicer, but I think the clothes designer were at their best in seasons 5-7.

The other storylines in TOW Joey Speaks French are where the first major 'Ross and Rachel will get back together' hints appeared. Rachel's father had a heart attack, and Ross took care of her, and Monica and Chandler took Erica to see around New York, and Erica revealed that the baby's father may be a 'shovel killer'!

Oh okay thanks ive only seen season 10 maybe 2 or 3 times so I forget, the other seasons I watched countless times...the shovely joe thing was pretty funny hehe but the rachel/ross one was okay...and yea I prefer the outfits around that time too. Monicas always seemed to be worst I think as far as the girls go, Phoebe may wear weird things but most of the time she matches, and Rachel I never thought was a bad dresser but Monica wears like green cargo pants and a red and grey shirt or something IDK but not good lol. But she gets better around season 9, 10, around there not sure exactly. But anyway..lol.

I was watching TOW The Dollhouse the other day, and I saw what Rachel was wearing in that scene where she asks Chandler how his date with Joanna was, and Chandler says she was a 'Big, Dull Dudd!'. Her outfit looked about 10 years out of date, and this girl is supposed to be working in fashion!! There's also an episode in Season 2 (can't remember which) where Ross wears a pair of jeans and a hoody, which would look normal in 2008, which is over a decade in the future, when that episode aired! That kinda freaked me out a bit.

Lol, I dont mean to be mean but how is a hoody and a pair of jeans considered to be so far in the future?? lol...Maybe I should see that episode first lol...and I remember the episode with Rachel but cant remember what she was wearing, she usually wears some suit outfit or dress as far as I know lol.

Well, jeans and a hoody is considered relatively normal today, but in 1995 they weren't that popular. I don't remember anyone else wearing that during the earlier seasons, and if it was standard clothing during those days, I'm sure I'd've seen more people wearing things like that. I always felt Ross seemed a but out of place in the scene, and then I realized it was because of what he was wearing.

Rachel was wearing a green T-shirt and a pair of dungarees in TOW The Dollhouse!

The thing is: the way they dressed in season 1, especially the first episode, it looked like it was setin the 1980's!

^Another little thing that's a tad annoying about the earlier seasons is how the studio audience/laugh track have older people laughing. Also, I didn't like it how in the earlier season how they referred to so many TV shows, celebrities, etc. which were really old and the younger audience wouldn't know about.

Nonetheless, I still liked season 1.

I noticed that they did that alot to where Id be like 'who?' but I didnt notice in mostly season 1 specifically ya know? Just kind of whenever, but alot..if that makes sense lol. Like when Phoebe gets the pug and Chandler says "why is Phoebe singing to Carl Maulden?" or something like that, I still have no idea who that is! lol...and that was season 4.

I guess. Even in some of the later episodes we have that though. In the 3 Barbados episodes, Chandler probably mentions about 10 celebrities with 'big hair' while he was making fun of Monica, and I'm sure not all of them will be well known by the younger audience (although younger people are likely to know who Diana Ross, Weird Al, etc. are). TO In Barbados is a good example of how they user more modern celebrities later on actually, like Anna Kournikova and Britney Spears, but I'm not sure if any of the paleantologists mentioned (like Kenneth Schwartz) are real, and if they are, no one will know them.

Judging by this thread season 8 is the most popular (by far) and season 1 is the least popular (again, by far).

On the other thread season 9 was winning, but season 8 and 5 weren't far behind it.

Weird..I never wouldve put season 8 as my top fave..and I didnt think many others would either...why do you guys like that so much, because Rachel is pregnant? I thought that wouldve detracted people because she didnt do much, not attact more people.
