Continuity: In describing the second couple to Ross, Rachel says, "Well, they have some unusual pet names for each other, including, um... 'Evil bitch' and, uh, 'Sick bastard'". "Evil bitch" suggests that the husband is giving as good as he gets, but only the wife is hurling invectives; he just seems to endure them.
Trivia: In this episode we see that Joey is playing Dr Drake Ramoray on Days of Our Lives, however in a previous episode, "The One With Joey's New Brain", it is shown that the only reason Joey is back on the show is because he now has a woman's brain. The fact that he is now a woman in a man's body is also mentioned in "The One With the Cheap Wedding Dress". This would mean that he technically is no longer Dr Drake Ramoray even though he appears as him onscreen, even if he wasn't meant to be Dr Ramoray then how has Jessica Lockhart, who's brain he has, gained all this medical knowledge?
Goof: When Ross is messing around in the other bed in the semi-private room, while his legs are in the air you can see a white speck on the bottom of his shoe. When the camera angle changes, the speck is gone. The speck continues to appear and disappear throughout the scene.
Goof: When Monica asks if Phoebe wants to see something funny, Phoebe leans forward. When the camera angle changes, Phoebe's suddenly leaning back again.
Ross: Yes! From home to the hospital in under seven minutes! We did it!
Rachel: Yes, the hard part is truly over.
Rachel: (about the desk nurse, in order to get a private room) Give her some money.
Ross: I really think they're out of rooms.
Rachel: They're not! Ross, they're just saving them for the important people. Okay? What, what if I was the president?
Ross: Well then we'd be in a lot of trouble, you don't know where any countries are.
Phoebe: (to Joey, Chandler and Monica) Three hours and still no baby. The miracle of birth sure is a snooze-fest.
Monica: Hey, you want to see something?
Phoebe: Sure. What?
Monica: Okay, this is gonna be fun. Watch me freak out Chandler... Honey?
Monica: Listen, uh, I've been doing some thinking, and I don't know whether it's because we're here or Rachel's giving birth, but, um... I think we should try to have a baby.
Monica: What, what's that now?
Chandler: Okay. I've been thinking about it too, and I think we're ready.
Monica: (herself freaking out) Are you kidding me? You think we're ready to have a baby now?!
Phoebe: (laughs) This is fun!
Judy: (to Ross about Rachel) Honestly! Ross, this isn't just some girl you picked up in a bar and... humped.
Ross: (to the gang about his mother) She pulled me out of the labor room to ask me why I'm not with Rachel.
Monica: Oh, God.
Phoebe: Yeah... (thinks about it) Why aren't you with Rachel?
Ross: Hey, you're kidding, right? Look, we're not gonna get together just because we're having this baby. I know, she's not just some girl I humped...
Joey: Oh, wha... Humped? C'mon, Ross.
Phoebe: But y'know what? It just seems that you two belong together.
Ross: Okay, stop it! I can't deal with this right now. I have to go have a baby.
Phoebe: Right... And with who again?
Phoebe: (telling the story of how she broke her leg) Well, it's kind of embarrassing. Let's just say there was a typographical error with a sex manual.
Ross: They're bringing in another woman.
Rachel: Is she pregnant yet? It doesn't matter, she'll still have her baby before I do.
Rachel: How many centimeters am I dilated? Eight? Nine?
Dr Long: Three
Ross: Just three? I'm dilated three!
