  • Rachel's sister Amy(Christina Applegate) geust stars.

Another funny episode, thanks mostly in part to another hilarious guest star, Christina Applegate as Rachel's sister Amy. Her character of course is not very likeable, but the things that she does just cracked me up. For example, when she mistook Ross for the filafel guy, even at the end of the episode she went up to the filafel guy and thought he was so rude because he didn't recognize her. Or when she wore Rachel's outfit and told Rachel that she couldn't "pull off" that outfit. A very dis-likeable character in real life, but a hilarious one on TV.

I found the whole Joey writing the adoption letter extremely funny. When Chandler read the letter Joey wrote using the Thesarus outloud, it was priceless. I'm sure most of us have used the thesarus function hoping to make us seem smarter, but Joey took it to another level. Funny stuff.

When Mike was about to propose at the Knicks game, and Phoebe just made fun of the couple who proposed before him, it seemed done before. I can't remember where I've seen it before, but I'm sure I've seen something to that effect at least twice before. But at the end, when Mike was finally able to propose, it was sweet. Good to see Phoebe finally having a serious relationship on the show.
  • Amy is just too dumb!!

Good episode! God Amy is dumb and needs to learn!! Her haircut was ugly! Monica and Chandler solicit Joey to write a letter to the adoption agency on their behalf. Joey discovers the thesaurus. Rachel's sister Amy visits and moves in with Rachel and Joey. She babysits Emma and gets the little girl's ears pierced. On their first anniversary, Phoebe spoils Mike's plans to propose, so she proposes to him. That doesn't go well, but the two get engaged anyway.
  • Rahcels self-involved sister Amy (Christina Applegate) comes to visit and Chandler and Monica get Joey to write an approval letter to the Adoption services.

This episode sees the return of Rachel's sister Amy, played by Chriatina Applegate, who won an Emmy for her appearance in "Friends" Series 9 episode "the One with Rachels other sister". Once again she is loud-mouthed and obnoxious. On her introduction she dosen't remember Ross and thinks he works at a falaffel stand.
Meanwhile in the coffee house Monica and Chandler ask Rachel to write an approval letter to the Adoption services. When Joey overhears he asks them if he could write one and Monica agrees only because she can't say no.
When Amy finds Rachel in Joeys apartment she informs her that she is getting married to an old-man called Myron. Amy however is more in love with his apartment and Rachel tells her to leave him. She does and she decides to move in with Joey and Rachel, an idea Joey is less than enthuaisiastic about.
Pheobe and Mike go to a football game to celebrate their 1 year anniversary and a man uses the game board to propose to his girlfriend. When Pheobe tells Mike that she thinks it is such a tacky and impersonal thing to do he runs off for a second because it turns out he was going to propose that way.
When Joey is having trouble writing the letter Ross helps him by showing him the thesarus on the computer. Joey uses the thesarus on every word and his letter is unreadable when he hands it to Monica and Chandler. They tell him to write from his heart and unfortunately he does just that. When he tells Monica the letter is complete she asks to see it and he explains that he has already dropped it off at the Adoption service. She flips out and asks to see a copy of it and to her dismay he says that he hand wrote it. Panic sets in and Chandler calls the Adoption services. It turns out they think that a child wrote the letter and inform them that it was a smart idea.
When Pheobe and Mike go to another game the next day she uses the big screen to propose to him and the commentater ridicules them because it his her propsing to him. The crowd boo them and Pheobe dusn't ask the question.
Meanwhile Emma's nanny gets pre-menstrual cramps and without a babysitter they are forced to let Amy mind her. After a day out Amy gives Rachel a surprise by showing her she pierced Emma's ears to make her nose look smaller. Rachel and Ross get angry at her and Rachel decides to throw her out of her apartment. After a plea from Amy Rachel decides against it.
At a dinner Mike proposes to Pheobe and she says yeah.
  • Average

Mike(Paul Rudd) plans to propose to Phoebe on their 1st year anniversary at the Nicks game but during the break another couple get engaged when the guy proposes and Phoebe says that its lame and tacky to do it that way and she realizes Mike was going to propse to her the exact same way. They go on a romantic date together and Mike hides the ring in the cake. Phoebe says that she'll say yes to him when he finally proposes and she says even if he does it the lame way and put it in the cake (which he did) and they get engaged.

Rachel's sister Amy(Christina Applegate) visits her to say she is getting married to a guy she bareley knows (Myren) so Rachel has a talk with Amy and tells her not to get married to him. Soon after Amy has nowhere to go and moves in with Rachel. When Emma's nanny gets sick, Amy volunteers to babysit Emma but Ross disapproves, Rachel says yes anyway in hopes that this will try to make her a little more responsible. When Amy gets back with Emma, Rachel and Ross scold her because she pierced Emma's ears. Later Rachel kicks her out.

Monica and Chandler get Joey to write an adoption letter but things dont turn out so well when Joey dicovers the thesaurus and uses it on every word. Joey decides to make another letter, handwritten with drawings and he did not try to sound smart at all. Monica and Chandler get worried when Joey tells them this and even more worried when Joey says that he dropped it of without their approval. They try to cancel it but apparantly, the adoption agency likes that they got a 5 year old child to write it for them.
