Alternate Title: The One with the Thanksgiving Flashbacks
Continuity: In this episode we see Chandler as a child finding out his parents are getting a divorce. On his plate is some turkey and vegetables and all the other thanksgiving food, but in "The One Where Underdog Gets Away" we learned that Chandler was eating dessert and had a bite of pumpkin pie in his mouth when his parents told him they were getting divorced.
Goof: When Monica drops the knife that severs Chandler's toe, the camera angle changes to look up and someone's shadow moves across the ceiling.
Continuity: In the flashback where Joey gets the turkey stuck on his head, you can see the white-and-black tiled bathroom floor. The floor should be all white since Joey didn't put in the new tiling until "The One with Frank Jr.."
Goof: In the opening scene when Phoebe is trying to turn on the TV, the TV remote is laying on the table at an angle. When the shot changes it is laying straight, and then it is at an angle again.
Magna Doodle: Bye (with a drawing of the number 327 inside a heart with wings)
Goof: In the 1862 Thanksgiving, when Phoebe loses her arm it's obviously a fake and the strings can be seen when it blows up.
Goof: When Monica accidentally throws the knife in the air, you can see as it is flying through the air it has no tip on it, but when we see it heading for Chandler's toe, it has a point.
Goof: At the end of the episode where Monica is dancing with the turkey on her head, she places the fez on the top of the turkey and the glasses over the turkey's arms. When the camera angle changes, the fez jumps to a pinned-on position tilted back and the glasses are under the arms.
Trivia: When Ross says "Severed toe, you just said it!" to the EMTs that roll Chandler through the ER door, the EMT that Ross says it to is likely the husband of the wheelchair-bound woman who has very mild contractions in "The One Where Rachel has a Baby (1)". He was also in "The One Where Chandler Can't Cry" as the guy in the porn video with Ursula (Buffay The Vampire Layer).
Continuity: In this episode, we see that Joey was an established friend and roommate since thanksgiving 1992. Yet in "The One with the Flashback", it showed that Joey was just moving in and getting to know everyone in 1993.
Goof: When Chandler is in the hospital, the doctor's gloves keep disappearing and reappearing.
Continuity: Chandler and Rachel met several times at the Geller's house during Thanksgiving breaks while Chandler was in college and Rachel was in high school. But in "The One with the Flashback" they have absolutely no idea who the other one is when they see each other for the first time at a bar. Not to mention that they didn't know each other in "The One Where Monica gets a Roommate".
Rachel: From now on, I'm gonna start dating men.
Ross: Sorry, Judy, I couldn't find the plate you and Jack are looking for!
Monica: Call them Mom and Dad, you loser.
Ross: Monica!
Chandler: You are so great! I love you!
Monica: What?
Chandler: Nothing! I said, I said "You're so great!" and then I just, I just stopped talking!
Monica: You said you loved me! I can't believe this!
Chandler: No, I didn't!
Monica: Yes, you did!
Chandler: No, I didn't!
Monica: You love me!
Chandler: No, I don't! Stop it! Stop it! Stop it! Stop it!
Chandler: My toe, I need my toe!
Monica: I'm so sorry!
Chandler: Well sorry doesn't bring back the little piggy who cried all the way home!
Joey: I am thankful for this beautiful fall we've been having. Yeah, the other day I was at the bus stop and this lovely fall breeze came in out of nowhere and blew this chick's skirt right up. Oh, which reminds me. I am also thankful for thongs.
Chandler: I am so sorry for calling you fat! I really am! But hey, I was an idiot back then! I rushed the stage at a Wham! concert for crying out loud!
Phoebe: I can't believe you called her fat.
Ross: I can't believe you let George Michael slap you!
Rachel: You're not going to tell the whole story about how your parents got divorced again, are you?
Joey: Oh come on, I want to hear it! It wouldn't be Thanksgiving without Chandler bumming us out!
Monica: (About the turkey on Joey's head) Okay, Phoebe, you pull, I'm gonna spread the legs as wide as I can. (Joey laughs) Joey, now is not the time!
Judy: Oh, Monica, would you finish off these pies? There's no more room in the refrigerator.
Monica: No thank you!
Jack: Well Judy, you did it. She's finally full!
Ross: Heh, I don't know what to pick. Am I more thankful for my divorce or my eviction? Hmm ...
Phoebe: Wow! See, and I didn't think you'd be able to come up with anything.
Ross: I'm sorry. It's just that this is the worst Thanksgiving ever.
Chandler: No no no! I am the king of bad Thanksgivings. You can't just swoop in here with your bad marriage and take that away from me!

Alternate Title: The One With All The Thanksgivings
This episode received an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Sound Mixing for a Comedy Series or a Special (Dana Mark McClure, Charlie McDaniel III, Kathy Oldham, John Bickelhaupt).
#3 in "UK's 6 Favorite Friends Episodes Countdown"
In this episode we see that Chandler's toe was severed. This was a play on the fact that Matthew Perry is missing part of his right middle finger.
In the flashback where Joey gets the turkey stuck on his head, Joey complains that it smells bad and Phoebe replies "Of course, you have your head up a dead animal's ass." In "The One Where Chandler Gets Caught" this flashback is reused. But this time Phoebe's reply is "Of course, you have your head up a dead turkey's ass." Apparently they used another take when selecting the scene.
Matthew Perry actually grew a goatee for the scene when Joey scared him with the turkey.
Douglas Looper, who played the paramedic, reappears in "The One Where Chandler Can't Cry (2)" as the vampire in Ursula's porno movie.
This episode runs 22:38 on DVD (a typical sitcom runs about 22:00).
This episode an received Emmy nomination for Outstanding Costume Design for a Series (Debra McGuire).
The music played when Monica drops the knife on Chandler's toe is taken from the famous shower-scene in Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho.
Chandler: That's why for an entire year people called me Sir Limps-A-Lot?
This is a word play on Sir Mix-A-Lot, a Grammy Award-winning rapper.
Chandler: I rushed the stage at a Wham concert, for crying out loud!
Wham! was a pop band formed in 1981 by George Michael and Andrew Ridgeley.
In the 1987 flashback, Chandler is dressed as one of the guys in the 1980s band A Flock Of Seagulls.
In the 1988 flashback, Ross and Chandler are dressed like Crockett and Tubbs from Miami Vice.
