Chandler: (to Ross who is wearing a nose guard) Oh, I thought you were great in Silence of the Lambs.
The protective nose guard worn by Ross is reminiscent of a mask worn by Anthony Hopkins in the psychological thriller, The Silence of the Lambs. Adapted from the novel by Thomas Harris, the story centers around Clarice Starling (Jodie Foster), a young FBI trainee who is sent to question an imprisoned sociopath/psychiatrist named "Hannibal the Cannibal" Lector (Hopkins). It is her hope that he might provide some insight leading to the capture of one of his former patients, a serial killer nick-named "Buffalo Bill" who is abducting women and skinning them. Hopkins won the Oscar for Best Actor and Foster for Best Actress.
