When Phoebe opens Monica's window and sticks her head out, the window changes in how open it is.
Goof: When Chandler, Joey, and Kathy are at the club, Kathy's right arm keeps changing position when the camera angle changes. First is in front of Joey, and then it is on his back. It keeps changing between shots.
Goof: When Phoebe is showing the shoes she makes by placing her foot on the coffee table, a microphone is visible at the top of the screen.
Phoebe's Songs: "Sticky Shoes"
My sticky shoes,
my sticky, sticky shoes,
why you stick on me... baby.
"Goats are Parading"
Parading, goats are parading;
parading down the street.
Parading, goats are parading;
leaving little treats.
"Paper Mache' Man"
I'm, I'm still waiting for my papier-mache' man.
Goof: When Chandler chases Kathy down the street, he shouts her name when he walks into the man with the hot dog, but his lips never move.
Goof: When Chandler finally catches Kathy on the street, there is a bike rider coming towards them. But after the camera angle changes, the rider never passes them.
Goof: When Chandler is chasing Kathy down the street, there is closeup of him running and a guy's face is on the left side of the screen. However, Chandler runs for a while and then encounters the same guy, the dog-walker, again.
Continuity: Rachel's birthday is inconsistent. In "The One with Joey's New Girlfriend", Rachel tells Gunther her birthday is May 5, and this is consistent with the month of birthday parties thrown for her on the show in "The One Where Rachel Finds Out", (which aired in May 1995) and in her one-month-early surprise party in "The One Where Rachel Smokes", (which aired in April 1999).
Rachel's 30th birthday, however, is celebrated in February in "The One Where They All Turn Thirty", (which aired on February 8, 2001). Rachel also mentions that her birthday is after Valentine's Day in "The One with the Girl From Poughkeepsie". A birthday in February is also consistent with Rachel's statement to a police officer in "The One with Chandler's Dad" that she is an Aquarius (January 21- February 19).
Continuity: Ross's birthday is inconsistent. In "The One Where Emma Cries" Ross says his birthday is October 18th. Also, in "The One with Five Steaks and an Eggplant" (which aired October 19th) Ross is taken to the Hootie and the Blowfish concert on his birthday. However, in "The One with George Stephanopoulos", Joey and Chandler buy Rangers' tickets to celebrate Ross's birthday on October 20th, and Ross says that his birthday was seven months ago, implying his birthday is in March. Furthermore, in "The One with Joey's New Girlfriend" Ross tells Gunther his birthday is in December.
Ross: Yeah, it's tough being single. That's why I'm so glad I found Amanda.
Rachel: Ross, you guys went out once. You took your kids to Chuck E. Cheese, you didn't even kiss her. (Ross glares at Chandler)
Chandler: I tell people secrets. It makes them like me.
Chandler: Hey, you were right. I'm in love with Joey's girlfriend.
Ross: Wait, you serious?
Phoebe: How is that possible? You barely know her.
Chandler: I don't know, I just can't get her out of my head, you know? I'm a very bad person. I'm a very bad... I'm a horrible person. (The gang stares at him) "No you're not, Chandler!" "We still love you, Chandler!"
Phoebe: I want to write some depressing songs to go with my voice, but I can't think of anything sad that's ever happened to me.
Monica: Well, about how about your mom dying? Or having to live on the streets at fourteen?
Phoebe: Uh huh. Oh yeah, I could write about the time my hair did that woo-hoo thing.
Joey: Listen, uh, you wanna get some dinner with me and Kathy tonight?
Chandler: Oh, um, you know what? I already ate.
Joey: It's 4:30.
Chandler: I had a big meal on Monday, y'know. So that's just gonna get me straight through the week.
Phoebe: (Rachel has just introduced her new younger boyfriend) Wow, cute one!
Rachel: I know, isn't he great? It's so nice to finally be in a fun relationship, you know? There's nothing boring about him, and ah, I bet he's never set foot in a museum.
Ross: Well, maybe he'll get to go soon, like on a class trip or something.
Gunther: When's your birthday?
Rachel: May fifth, why?
Gunther: Oh, I, I'm just making a list of people's birthdays.
Ross: Oh, mine's December...
Gunther: Yeah, whatever.
Chandler: All right, I'm gonna do it! I'm gonna get shot down. Any advice?
Monica: Just be yourself. But, not too much.
Chandler: Hi. Hi, I, I was just sitting over there, and uh, Chandler. My name is Chandler. Did I say that?
Kathy: No, you didn't. Hi, I'm Kathy.
Chandler: Uh Kathy, with K or a C?
Kathy: With a K.
Chandler: Oh hey, hey!
Ross: (To Rachel) See, Amanda and I have a --
Monica: You have nothing! You're not even going out! You're her babysitter. You have a twelve-year-old girl's job!
Rachel: (Laughing) That is so sad.
Monica: And what are you laughing at, Miss My-keg-sucking-boyfriend-is-stealing-from-me? Would you both please start acting like adults? And give me my cough drops!
Monica: (About the crossword puzzle) Joe, I don't think a four-letter word for "ship" can be "ship."
Joey: I thought it was a freebie.
Chandler: Whenever I see a girl in fishnet stockings... it reminds me of my father in fishnet stockings.
Chandler: Wish me luck.
Ross: (Loudly) Good luck!
Chandler: Wish it!
Chandler: So, uh, Joey tells me you two met in acting class.
Kathy: Yeah, they teamed us up as partners. Joey picked three scenes for us to do. All of them had us making out.
Chandler: Oh, it's a good thing, actually. Because, uh, he used to make me rehearse with him.
Chandler: Okay, what do you say I go over there and say how much I like her? (Joey gives him a thumbs up) No, no it'll be good, I can tell her much I've been thinking about her. That I haven't stopped thinking about her since the moment I met her. That I'm so fantastically, over-the-top, wanna-slit-my-own-throat in love with her, that for every minute of every hour of every day I can't believe my own damn bad luck that you met her first!
Monica: (Sneeze) Oh, gosh, Phoebe, I think I caught your cold!
Phoebe: You mean you stole it! (Monica sneezes) Don't cover your mouth when you do that!
Phoebe: Before I start, I just wanna say that, um, I have a cold. So if I sneeze in the middle of a song, it's not on purpose. Oh! Except the last verse of Pepper People.
Monica: Go ahead and ask her out. What's the worst that could happen?
Chandler: Well, I could die!
