Trivia: In this episode we learn that Ross skipped a grade. Unless Chandler also skipped a grade, that means that Ross is a year younger than Chandler since they were in the same grade together in college.
Goof: Rachel tells Joey to "not get married before I do", however, Rachel already married Ross in "The One in Vegas (2)".
Factual Error: In this episode Phoebe called Erin a "stronzo," which is an Italian swearword meaning, essentially, "the lowest form of humanity". However, although it was established in "The One Where Ross Can't Flirt" that Phoebe speaks Italian, she uses the term incorrectly. Since Phoebe is referring to a woman, she should have said "stronza", the feminine form of that noun.
Goof: In the opening scene Joey is eating a bowl of cereal. Once he sets the bowl down, it disappears for the rest of the scene.
Magna Doodle: A drawing of the northern hemisphere of planet Earth with Saturn and a quarter-moon in the background.
Continuity: Joey says that Chandler used to make pancakes for the girls he'd slept with the night before, but in "The One with the Princess Leia Fantasy", Chandler states he doesn't know how to make pancakes.
Joey: (about Erin) Tell her... I'm a loner--an outlaw! She doesn't want to get mixed up with the likes o' me!
Rachel: Yeah, y'know what? That's a lot to remember. Can't I just tell her that you're a pig?
Joey: (to Rachel and Phoebe) Hey... don't start judging me... (to Rachel) You're the one who's in love with her assistant, huh? (to Phoebe) ...and you're the one who's having an affair with the guy who keeps the pigeons on the roof...
Rachel: (to Phoebe, surprised) Phoebe!
Phoebe: (to Joey, angrily) Secret affair!
Monica: What was I supposed to do?
Chandler: Lie! How hard is that? "Your check's in the mail. Oh, your baby's so cute. I can't wait to read your book, Ross."
Ross: (to the Head Librarian) Hi, I was wondering, is it possible to increase security in the Paleontology section? I wrote a book that's up there, and instead of reading it people are... well, they're rolling around in front of it.
Janice: I can't believe that Claude stood me up! I thought he was my soulmate!
Chandler: I thought I was your soulmate!
Rachel: (about Erin) Wow. I guess it wasn't Cupid that brought her here.
Phoebe: No, just a regular old flying dwarf.
Monica: Janice, what are you doing here?
Janice: Well, um, I thought I was going to go back to my apartment but then I just felt I couldn't really be alone tonight. I was wondering if I could maybe stay here with you, just I really feel that I need to be with family.
Monica: (to Chandler) Our kids are gonna call her Aunt Janice, aren't they?
