Factual Error: In the opening sequence, after Monica comes in to Chandler and Joey's apartment, Chandler says they will be on a six hour trip to London. A flight from New York to London actually takes about eight hours.
Continuity: It is odd that Ross's son, Ben, would not be in or at least at his father's wedding. He was in Carol and Susan's wedding in "The One with the Lesbian Wedding."
Trivia: The opening sequence contains some pretty significant spoilers. For one thing, it shows Rachel leaving the apartment with suitcases, buying a ticket and showing up in London. The other one, perhaps the biggest spoiler, is a shot of Monica and Chandler in bed together.
Goof: In the very beginning of the scene where Phoebe and Rachel get the call from Joey, a crew member can be seen walking out of the shot on the left.
Trivia: The hat salesman is played by Sir Richard Branson, the man who created the Virgin Group ltd. (Virgin Records, Virgin Airlines, etc). If you look over Joey's shoulder when they are at the hat stand, there is a red baseball cap displaying the Virgin logo.
Trivia: The book that Phoebe asks Chandler to bring her, is the same book that Joey reads in the beginning of "The One with the Rumor."
Goof: When Phoebe is talking on the phone with Emily's mother and making a sandwich, she puts mayo on her sandwich. But at the end of the conversation there is no mayo on her sandwich.
Goof: When Rachel and Phoebe are discussing if she loves Ross, Phoebe's necklace switches sides constantly between shots.
Goof: When Ross, Emily, and Monica are going to see the church, Monica questions the food. After she claps her hands, the camera angle changes and her hands are down with no time to do so. Then Monica claps again.
Continuity: During his best man speech at the rehearsal dinner, Joey says, "I first met Ross in this coffee house back home..." But technically we learned in "The One with the Flashback" that Joey actually met Ross in the bar that eventually became the coffee shop, but was still a bar at the time.
Goof: When Rachel is telling Phoebe she's going to London, she comes out of her room with a sweater over her shoulders. It shows Phoebe and two seconds later it shows Rachel again, but the sweater is gone. Then she goes to the wall and grabs a jacket. It goes back and forth between Rachel having the sweater and not having it.
Jack: (to Emily's father) I just wanna say I'm not paying for your wine cellar, you thieving, would-be-speaking-German-if-it-weren't-for-us, cheap little man!
Monica: Guys, hurry up. The flight leaves in four hours. It could take time to get a taxi. There could be traffic. The plane could leave early. When we get to London, there could be a line at customs. Come on.
Chandler: Six-hour trip to London. That's a lot of Monica.
Judy: Oh sorry we're late, my fault I insisted on riding the tube.
Jack: Judy, the kids.
Judy: Jack, that's what they call the subway.
Jack: Oh! I though that...
Ross & Monica: Dad, Dad we got it!
Phoebe: Let's try some aversion therapy, Okay?
Rachel: Alright!
Phoebe: So, look at the picture.
Rachel: Okay. (Looks at the picture of Ross)
Phoebe: And ... (Takes the photo away and slaps Rachel over the head)
Rachel: Ow!
Phoebe: Okay, how do you feel now?
Rachel: Well, I like you less!
Rachel: Oh, honey! Don't get up! What do you need?
Phoebe: Oh, no... Oh, nothing.
Rachel: Come on! I am here to take care of you! What do you need? Anything.
Phoebe: Okay, I have a wedgie.
Rachel: Okay, that is all you.
Phoebe: Eh, don't be so hard on yourself. If someone I was still in love with was getting married...
Rachel: Still in love with?
Phoebe: Yeah.
Rachel: I'm not in love with Ross!
Phoebe: Oh. No, no. Good! Yeah, me neither.
Rachel: Phoebe, I'm not going to Ross's wedding because he is my ex-boyfriend and that would be really uncomfortable. Not because I'm still in love with him! I mean, hey, ya know, I like Ross as much as the next guy. You know, clearly I have feelings for him, but feelings don't mean love! You know, I mean, I still have loving feelings for Ross, yeah! But, I have... I have, you know, continuing feelings of love, but that doesn't mean that... that I'm still in love with him. You know? I have... I have sexual feelings for him, but I do love him... Oh! Oh, my God! Oh my... why didn't you tell me?
Phoebe: We thought you knew!
Rachel: We?!
Phoebe: Yeah, we all know! We talk about it all the time!
Rachel: You all know? Does Ross know?
Phoebe: Oh no, Ross doesn't know anything.
Rachel: Oh, I can not believe you didn't tell me!
Phoebe: Well, because we thought you knew!! It's so obvious! God, that would be like telling Monica, "Hey, you like things clean." Or, ya know, "Hey, Joey, you're gay."
Joey: London baby!
Chandler: Okay, 'cause that's not gonna get annoying.
Joey: London baby!!
Chandler: Uh, you know what? I was wrong.
Chandler: (About Westminster Abbey) They're thinking of changing the name.
Joey: Really? To what?
Chandler: To put the camera away!
Joey: Dude, you are Westminster Crabby!
Joey: You ordered pizza without me?
Phoebe: Yeah, but we were thinking about you, you know. We ordered the Joey Special.
Joey: Two pizzas?!

During filming a British radio station kept announcing where the show was currently filming. Since thousands of fans turned up, the producers made Courteney Cox and David Schwimmer talk to the fans so they would leave.
The hotel where the Friends stay in this episode, the London Marriott, was the actual hotel that the cast and crew stayed in while filming.
This episode and part two are partially filmed in front of a British audience.
For this episode, and part 2 of the story, an exclusive Title sequence would be used, featuring only one shot from the usual fountain intro and all the other footage from these two episodes.
On the day this two-part episode aired, Lisa Kudrow gave birth to her son.
The second episode to feature location shooting. Also, the first episode to be filmed at three separate times: the apartment scenes were done first in L.A., followed by the outdoor London scenes a few weeks later. Finally, the scenes taking place indoors in London were filmed in front of a British studio audience.
This episode runs 25:06 on DVD (a typical sitcom runs about 22:00). Added scenes include a montage of Joey and Chandler on a double decker bus (with cocreator Marta Kauffman and writer Adam Chase sitting right behind them), and Monica getting fitted for her bridesmaid dress.
Chandler: Because he's crazy. He came up to me earlier and thanked me for my very moving performance in Titanic.
Titanic is an Academy Award-winning 1997 romantic disaster film directed and written James Cameron, starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet. Titanic currently holds the record for the most Academy Awards.
Chandler: I mean to think, my friend getting married in Monty Hall. Oh come on! Monty Hall. Let's Make a Deal. Come on, you people!
Monty Hall was the host of the television game show Let's Make a Deal.
After Joey talks to Phoebe on the phone, he watches Cheers on the TV.
Monica: Oh, my God. You're even dumber than I am.
Ross: Excuse me?
Monica: Ross, how long have you been planning this wedding?
Ross: I don't know. A month.
Monica: Emily has probably been planning it since she was five. Ever since the first time she took a pillowcase and hung it off the back of her head. That's what we did. We dreamed about the perfect wedding, in the perfect place with the perfect four-tiered wedding cake with the little people on top. But the most important part is that we had the perfect guy who understood just how important all that other stuff was.
Ross: I had no idea. That pillowcase thing? I thought you guys were just doing the Flying Nun.
Monica: Sometimes we were.
The Flying Nun was a 1960s TV show.
