Who was the Episode MVP ?

  • The Janine arc ends.

Well after the subtle cliffhanger, from the last episode, you would think everything is great between Joey & Janine, but of course, they had to end her arc sometime. So they ended it by making Janine mean to Monica & Chandler as a couple. I don't like how they made her mean, for a farewell. Joey was very mature (surprisingly) about the situation. A Phoebe & Rachel plot! As roommates, Phoebe hates pottery barn, and Rachel loves it, but then Phoebe secretly loves it, and the problem is solved. I like how Rachel used all those stories about the "antiques" Good episode.moreless
  • Phoebe hates Pottery Barn?! - Rachel

So Phoebe hates Pottery Barn. Well it's not totally suprising she always is kind of weird but it did cause funny situations in this episode.

Rachel buys an apothecary table at Pottery Barn. Monica warns her not to put the table in the apartment because Phoebe hates mass production. Rachel still wants to put it in the apartment and tells Phoebe she got it at a flea market. I like the friendship between Rachel and Phoebe and it's too bad that they only live together for 1 season.

Joey and Janine doubledate with Chandler and Monica but Janine doesn't like them. She thinks Chandler is blah (which he isn't) and Monica is very loud for such a small person (which she is). This is the last episode with Janine. She was okay but I don't really care that she left.moreless
  • Chandler and Monica double date with Joey and Janine, but Janine thinks Chandler and Monica are boring. Rachel buys a table from Pottery Barn, but has to hide it's origins from Phoebe who hates the Pottery Barn.moreless

Although not one of the best episodes, this is still a pretty good one (as they all are.) It seems a little unbelieveable that Janine would break up with Joey and move out so quickly, it would have been nice to see an actual relationship develop for Joey. It was much funnier to watch Rachel make up various stories about where her furniture was coming from and even funnier when suddenly, Phoebe got on board with the Pottery Barn (although they reused the idea of Phoebe ditching her beliefs in season 9 when Rachel finds out that Phoebe is working for a massage chain.)moreless
  • a good episode

Rachel orders an apothecary table from Pottery Barn, which is a problem because Phoebe hates the mass-producing company so she says she got it from a flea market. and to make matters worse ross buys one so pheobe now knows that it was not unique. but then she loves pottery barn and buys stuff from there. After Janine and Joey double date with Chandler and Monica, Janine tells Joey that she thinks the other two are boring causing to react and tell chandler and monica who confront janine about it and joey and janine finally end their quick relationship.moreless

Good episode! Phoebe sures is picky on her stuff. I wouldn't care as long as it was cool and looked good. I like new stuff because it looks more fancy and teenager like and to me its bed than the old stuff. Joey is sure excited about dating Janine. I didn't know Janine would hate Chandler and Monica so much! Ross, Rachel and Phoebe were like not really with them and kind of doing other stuff. I like at the end when Janine and Monica make up and Janine keeps lying about stuff and Monica chases her down the stairs. I really wanted Joey and Janine to stay together!moreless

  • QUOTES (11)

    • Janine: We have got to move.
Monica: (Barging into Joey's apartment with Chandler) ) I knew it! You know, you're not so quiet yourself, missy!
Chandler: And I'm blah? Listen, the only thing more boring than watching modern dance is having to listen to you talk about it! "Oh Chandler, I just lost myself in the movement!"
Janine: You know, I know you're talking, but all I hear is "blah, blah, blah."
Monica: Alright, you and me! Let's go! Right now!
Joey: Alright, enough! Enough! You two go home. I gotta talk to Janine.
Chandler: (To Monica) You know, I really think you could take her.
Monica: (To Janine) You better hope I don't see you in the hallway!

    • Rachel: (About Phoebe finding out the new furniture is from Pottery Barn) I'll just tell her it's an antique apothecary table. She doesn't have to know where it came from. Oh, look at those drawers! It says it holds three hundred CDs.
Chandler: Ah, just like the apothecary tables of yore.
      Rachel: Your what?
      Chandler: What?
      Rachel: What?
      Chandler: Enjoy the catalogue, sweetheart.

    • Monica: What did I tell you about the hall?
Janine: I was just coming over to apologize for my behavior. I'd really like it if we could be friends.
Monica: Well, I know that would make Joey happy, so I would like that too.
      Janine: Great.
Monica: Come on. (Gives her a very quick hug) Well, glad we worked things out.
Janine: Me too. I'll see you. (Monica starts to walk away.) Or I'll hear you.
Monica: That's it. (Hits Janine with the bag of trash)
      Janine: Ow! Wait! (Runs away)
Monica: (Chasing after her) You better run!
      Chandler: You hear that?
Joey: Yeah. What am I gonna do?
Chandler: Yeah, I'm sorry. Wanna go watch?
      Joey: Yeah!

    • Chandler: Hey, so did, uh, did she move out?
      Joey: Pretty much, yeah.
Monica: I cannot believe you broke up with her just like that.
Joey: Well, when it's not right, you know it.
      Chandler: You okay?
Joey: Yeah! Yeah. I'll be all right.
Ross: Ya know what would cheer you up?
      Joey: What?
Ross: I'm giving this lecture on erosion theories tomorrow night, I think you should come.
Joey: (Laughing hysterically) You're right! That did cheer me up!

    • Rachel: Ross, she's not weird, she just wants her stuff to be one of a kind.
Ross: Huh. Ya know what's not one of a kind? A twin!

    • Joey: So, uh, what are you guys doing?
Chandler: Oh, nothing. We're just talking. You know, blah, blah, blah.
Joey: Come on you guys, you said you were gonna try. Alright look. I came over to invite you guys to a movie with me and Janine. What do you say?
Monica: I'd like to (Talks very softly) but I'm not sure if we have the time.

    • Monica: Joey, why is Janine not coming over for dinner?
Joey: Well, uh she didn't want to hang out with you guys two nights in a row. I'm so sorry.
Chandler: Why does she not want to hang out with us?
Joey: Because she, uh, she ... she thinks that you are blah and-and that you Monica, are too loud.
      Monica:(Loudly) What?! (Quietly) What?!
Chandler: So she was just pretending to have a good time last night? She was lying to our faces?
Monica: I can't believe this. I mean, who is she to judge us? We could not have been nicer to her.
Chandler: And I am not blah. I am a hoot.

    • Chandler: Oh, hey, Rachel, sweetheart you have got to tell the post office that you moved, okay? We're still getting all your bills and stuff.
Rachel: Oh. Ooh, ooh, Pottery Barn. You can throw the rest away.
Chandler: I am not your garbageman. I'm your mailman.

    • Joey: Have you kissed her yet? She kisses better then my mom ... cooks.
Monica: I am so glad you said cooks.

    • Joey: I hate Pottery Barn too. They kicked me out of there just because I sat on a bed.
Chandler: You took off your pants and climbed under the sheets!
      Joey: I was tired!

    • Phoebe: No no no, but I am mad! I am mad! Because this stuff is everything that is wrong with the world! And it's all sitting up in my living room and all I can think about is how I don't have that lamp!
