Factual Error: When Ross and Joey are playing catch, Ross is boring Joey with palaeontology stories. He says "...now when they found the remains of the Mesozoic Mastodon they discovered what appeared to be the remains of a Palaeozoic Amphibian in its jaws! How did it get there?" However, there were no Mastodons in the Mesozoic Era. The Mesozic lasted from 251 million years ago to 65 million years ago. The earliest Mastodons appeared only about 4 million years ago. Ross should have said "Cenozoic Mastodon."

Magna Doodle: A drawing of a spaceship
Joey: So is Staten Island really an island?
Ross: Hence the name, Staten Island.
Joey: Oh, I thought it was like Long Island.
Ross: Also an island!
Monica: (Calling in sick to work so she can throw the ball with the guys) I won't be able to come to work today because, um, I'm not feeling very good. (Catching the ball) Yes! Wow for a second there I thought I was feeling better, but I'm not. Bye.
Woman #1: I thought you wanted me to adopt your cat.
Rachel: Well, your going to have to look at this as more of an investment, than a cat.
Woman #1: Okay, I just wanted a cat.
Rachel: Okay, obviously you know how to haggle. So $800 and I don't call the cops, which I should 'cause you're robbing me blind! So, take the cat, leave the money, and just run away. (Woman leaves) Run away. Damn it!
Monica: Rachel, what is your cat doing in one of my bowls?
Rachel: It's not. I'm defrosting a chicken.
Monica: (During the ball game) Oh my God! The cat's making my eyes water! Don't throw it to me! My vision's been compromised! (Wipes her eyes) Okay. Okay. It's okay. That was close!
Chandler: Yeah, you almost overreacted to something.
Monica: What?! You paid a thousand dollars for a cat when you owe me 300!
Rachel: Well, I was gonna let you play with it.
Monica: (To Gary about asking Phoebe to move in) Okay just do not get her flowers because she cries when they die and then there's the whole funeral...
Rachel: (About her cat) Check it out.
Ross: What... uh?
Joey: What the hell is that?
Rachel: It's a cat.
Joey: That is not a cat.
Rachel: Yes. It is.
Ross: Why is it inside out?
Rachel: You guys this cat is nothing like my grandmother's cat. It's not sweet. It's not cute. I even dragged that string along the ground and it just flipped out and scratched the hell out of me. And I know this sounds crazy, but I swear every time this cat hisses at me I know it's saying Rachel!
Rachel: I'm going to go set up a litter box for Mrs. Whiskerson. (Ross and Joey stare at her) Well what am I gonna call her? Fluffy?!
