Who was the Episode MVP ?

  • Chandler was totally cheating on the bag game

Great episode, Iove when they have competitions with Monica involved! Chandler was totally cheating on the bag guessing game though. Look where his eyes go when he's telling Ross to "stop it".
  • One of the best episode in the whole series..

i'm still watching this episode when i need something to cheer me my opinion this is among the best episode in the FRIENDS..

the episode start with the sound of the chicken wakes up rachel and monica from's funny when rachel ask monica if the sound came from her even though it's obviously from the chicks..very funny..haha

then the episode develops with joey and chandler play a guessing game with rachel and monica about the things rachel bought from shopping and it's funny when joey know exactly the private things about rachel..from there they brought the game into another level that eventually brought the girls to bet their apartment in exchange for the boys to get rid their birds if they win the game..the game scene is my favourate one because there are lot of funny jokes and information about both of the boys and girls..

the ending was also a good one when pheebs confirms to all of them that she is pregnant even though she's just underwent the procedure few hours before..

what can i say that this episode is one of the best episode in the FRIENDS..moreless
  • My personal favorite episode that has the guys v the girls

It does NOT get funnier than it does here. Monica and Rachel v Chandler and Joey was a genius move on the writers' part, and it's been a long time coming. The game Ross invents to see whether the guys know the girls better or if it's the other way round gets way out of hand as the stakes are raised and Monica - without Rachel's consent as per usual! - bets more and more money because she's certain they will win. It's all to do with Joey and Chandler's rooster that's keeping the girls up at night with its loud noises! As they live right across the hall, they can hear it more than anybody and it gets to the point where they argue something has to be done about it. So the rivalry between the guys and girls is played out during Ross' game made especially for them as a way to test who knows who best. Ultimately, the guys win, and it's all down to Chandler. The joke in the episode is the same as it has been in various other episodes, which is that the girls simply do not know what Chandler does for a living!! Which loses them their apartment and Chandler and Joey could not be more thrilled to be swapping homes with them. Rachel's reaction to this is particularly hilarious, she almost has a breakdown!

Best episode in the history of the show, in my opinion. And another subplot involves Phoebe preparing to have her brother's babies for him and his girlfriend (who was once his teacher!) She finds out she's pregnant at the episode's end and the news temporarily reunites the gang who are all really happy for her.moreless
  • A really great episode, one of the best of season 4

Chandler and Joey against Monica and Rachel in a game of who knows the other best, this leads to Monica and Rachel bet their appartment against the chick and the duck go away. Joey and Chandler win and they move in. Phoebe gets her brother's sperm into her embryos. This episode must be the toast of the 4th season. One of the funniest episodes, with story and great acting. Amazing episode with great story. Dont miss this episode. I've gotta say the best part was the competition. "That's not even a word!" If u lov friends u will certanly love this episode and you'll laugh ur brains and heart out.moreless
  • One of the best. Seriously...

This episode, I don't know why I was so attracted to this episode. But it was flawless & amazing. Might be one of the best episode of Friends yet. A perfect storyline & a start of an even newer arc with the guys & girls trading places. I love how Ross is in charge of the whole game. I was on the edge of my seat. I really didn't think the girls were going to lose the apartment. I thought there had to be some loophole in this. But it actually happened. A very special episode cause Phoebe finds out she is for real pregnant. Knocked up. Perfect! I am speechless!moreless

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

  • TRIVIA (17)

    • Trivia: When the guys are trying to guess what's in the girls' grocery bag, Ross is doing his dramatic narrator voice. Chandler steps forward to tell him to stop and his eyes look down briefly. He clearly could have seen directly into the bag. He didn't cheat, of course, but easily could have.

    • Goof: In the scene where Phoebe's waiting to be implanted with the embryos, an ultrasound machine is in the background with a visible ultrasound picture of what appears to be a womb, even though Phoebe isn't hooked up to it.

    • Goof: In the lightning round, both teams answer a question incorrectly and Ross moves on to the next question. ("In what part of her body did Monica get a pencil stuck at age fourteen?" "Chandler was how old when he first touched a girl's breast?") When he gets to the girls' final question, "What is Chandler Bing's job?", Rachel answers it incorrectly but he doesn't move on and because they fail to answer the question correctly, they lose the game. As soon as Rachel answered incorrectly, the girls should have been given another question but they ran out of time. The boys got four right (Monica's nickname, Rachel's alleged favorite movie, her actual favorite movie and the number of towel categories Monica had) and the girls only got three right (Joey's favorite food, name of his imaginary best friend and his imaginary friend's job).

    • Continuity: When Ross asks Chandler and Joey the question about his dead Grandmother, he picks up a pink question card even though the category he took it from is purple.

    • Magna Doodle: HAVE YOU SEEN OUR VIEW?!

    • Goof: In the opening scene Chandler's hair is parted on the other side. When the show comes back after the credits, his hair is parted on the side that it is normally parted.

    • Continuity: When Chandler and Joey are moving their stuff into Monica and Rachel's apartment, Chandler moves the top part of the Foosball table separately. However, in "The Last One (2)" they are unable to get Chick Jr. and Duck Jr. out of the foosball table because it is all glued together.

    • Phoebe's Song: "Fetus"
Are you in there little fetus?
In nine months will you come greet us?
I will... buy you some Adidas.

    • Goof: In the scene where Monica asks for a rematch and bets Chandler and Joey $100, the boom mic is clearly visible for a couple of seconds at the top of the screen.

    • Goof: In the tag scene when Chandler is sitting on the couch in the new apartment, the rooster is sitting on the back of the couch with his tail facing the window. When Joey comes running out, the shot of the rooster shows his face toward the window, and then in the next shot he has returned to his tail facing the window.

    • Goof: Ross makes up the questions for the quiz. There are two groups of questions, one for the girls and one for the boys. Each one has four categories and there are four questions in each category. From these sixteen questions, Ross asks ten. Therefore there have to be six left for both teams after the quiz. But in one group, seven questions can be seen.

    • Goof: When the friends are talking about the contest to prove who knows each other better, Monica says to Joey "Are you scared?" and Rachel has her arms crossed. Joey says "No" and in the next shot of Rachel she is crossing them again.

    • Factual Error: Several of the grocery items that Rachel buys are a Safeway brand (the soda and cookies), but there aren't any Safeway stores in New York.

    • Goof: When Ross takes a bite of the cookie, he puts it back in the box. In the next shot he is putting the cookie back in the box again.

    • Goof: When Phoebe comes out of the bathroom to announce that she's pregnant with Frank and Alice's child you can see Frank letting go of Alice and taking a step forward Phoebe but in the very next scene you can see him still having his arm around Alice.

    • Goof: At the end of the episode when Monica says she can't find the garbage bags, the mic can be seen at the top of the screen in the middle.

    • Goof: During the Lighting Round of the trivia game between the guys and girls, Ross tells both teams that they have 30 seconds to answer as many questions as they can. However both teams are given 46 seconds to answer their questions.

  • QUOTES (17)

    • Rachel: (about the rooster crowing) What the hell is that? What the hell is that? (to Monica) Is that you?!

    • Rachel: (pounding on Joey and Chandler's door and shouting) Get up! Get up! Get up!
      (Chandler opens the door, bleary-eyed)
      Rachel: What is that noise?!
      Chandler: You...!
Joey: It's the chick. She's going through some changes.
      Monica: What kind of changes?
Chandler: The vet seems to think that she's becoming a rooster. (rooster crows) We're getting a second opinion.

    • Phoebe: (about the Chick and the Duck) You guys should get rid of those animals. They shouldn't be living in an apartment.
Rachel: Yeah, especially with all these knives and cookbooks around.

    • Phoebe: "Embryos"? There's more than one?
      Dr. Zane: Five, actually.
Phoebe: Five? Okay, where am I giving birth, in a hospital or a big box under the stairs?

    • Frank: (about implanting the embryos) I was thinking, what are the odds like if you stuff, like, two-hundred of 'em in there?
Alice: Sweetie, now... she's a woman, not a gumball machine.

    • Ross: According to Chandler, what phenomenon scares the bejesus out of him?
Monica: Michael Flatley, Lord Of The Dance!
      Ross: That is correct.
Joey: (aside to Chandler) The Irish jig guy?!
Chandler: His legs flail about as if independent from his body!

    • Ross: Monica and I had a grandmother who died. You both went to her funeral. Name that grandmother.
      Joey: (aside to Chandler) Nana?
Chandler: She has a real name.
      Joey: (suddenly inspired) Althea?!
Chandler: Althea? What are you doing?!
      Joey: I took a shot.
      Chandler: You're shooting with Althea?!
      Ross: Althea is correct.
      Chandler: Nice shooting!

    • Ross: Every week the TV Guide comes to Chandler and Joey's apartment. What name appears on the address label?
Rachel: Oh! Chandler gets it! It's Chandler Bing!
      Monica: Noooo!
Ross: I'm afraid the TV Guide comes to "Chanandler Bong".
Monica: I knew that! Rachel, use your head!
Chandler: Actually... it's "Miss Chanandler Bong".

    • Ross: What is the name of Chandler's father's all-male burlesque?
      Monica: "Viva Las Gay-gas!"
Chandler: (dejected) Unfortunately, that is correct.

    • Ross: All right, we have a tie. Luckily, I have prepared for such an event. (pulls out flashcards) The Lightning Round!
      All: Ohhhh.
Ross: Thirty seconds, all the questions you can answer.
Monica: You guys are dead, I am so good at lightning rounds.
Chandler: I majored in lightning rounds. All right, we're gonna destroy you.
      Monica: Huh, wanna bet?
Chandler: Well, I'm so confused as to what we've been doing so far...

    • Ross: What was Monica's nickname when she was a field hockey goalie.
      Joey: Big Fat Goalie.
      Ross: Correct.

    • Ross: In what part of her body did Monica get a pencil stuck at age fourteen?
Chandler: Oh! (hesitates briefly and then whispers something to Ross)
      Ross: Eew, no! ...Her ear!

    • Ross: Chandler was how old when he first touched a girl's breasts?
      Rachel: Fourteen!
      Ross: No, nineteen.
      Chandler: Thanks, man.

    • Ross: What is Chandler Bing's job?
Rachel: Oh, gosh. It has something to do with numbers.
      Monica: And processing...
      Rachel: He carries a briefcase...
Ross: Ten seconds... You need this or you lose the game.
Monica: It's uhm, it has something to do with transponding.
Rachel: Oh! Oh! Oh! He's a transponce... transpondster!
Monica: That's not even a word! I can get this. I can get this!
(Ross stops the clock with a beep)
      Monica: Nooo!
Chandler and Joey: (jumping up and shouting) Yeah! Yes-s-s!

    • Joey: I call Monica's room!
Chandler: You can't just call Monica's room...
Joey: Sure I can. Standard shotgun rules. I'm in sight of the room and I call it.
Chandler: (looks over to the room and mutters under his breath) Damn.

    • Phoebe: Well, the doctor says it takes a couple of days, but I mean... my body's always been a little faster than Western medicine, so...

    • Frank Jr: (shouting victoriously, fists in the air) My sister's gonna have my baby!!
