  • The gang trys and wins the lottery.

Good episode. Joey wants to buy a lottery ticket and so does everyone else except Ross. He later agrees. Phoebe was dumb when she did that. Why the hell would you even go outside and even attempt that!! It does make Friends a little less in rating. Even in the end when the hear about the guy found the ticket in the stree. You think they would do something about it!! I sure hell would!! And like on shows like Friends they can never win a million dollar prize. It is very dumb!!
  • All six friends involved in the same plotline.

I really liked this episode, it was the first one in a long time where we got to see the gang hang out as friends, not divided into couples and groups, just being friends. My favorite episodes are usually the ones with the ensemble together, having one common storyline.

I loved the bit about Emma saying her first word. It was very funny and well written, first Rachel's reaction, her using "gleba" in a sentence ("Emma just said gleba") and finally Ross's thrill in finding out what the word means. It was a really good storyline.

Chandler's job thing was quite good too. It's nice to see things going well for Chandler career-wise. And I like that Monica is supporting him, she has her quirks and her obsessions but when it comes to Chandler she mostly just wants whatever's best for him.

The episode had lots of good lines, lots of good moments and felt like old-time Friends. One of my favorites of the season!
  • Funny, one of the best, and exciting.

Everyone buys lottery tickets, but Ross is still not sure about it. Chandler is having hope on getting a new job but his friend whose father is the boss, might also have a bigger chance than him. Meanwhile, Rachel thinks that her daughter said her first words but Ross is confused that the word Emma not a word.

Phoebe is sure that she is going to win the lottery, but after a misunderstanding from the gang, the tickets fall off the balcony and half of them are only found. Phoebe wins three bucks.

This episode "The One With The Lottery" is a funny, exciting and definitely one of my favorites!
  • Great episode with humour and seriousness.

TOW the lottery is one of the better friends episodes of season 9. The gang, except Ross, buy a lot of lottery tickets. Chandler waits for a phone call about a promotion and Rachel thinks Emma is about to say her first word. Monica buys extra lottery tickets for her and Chandler and Ross joins after Monica convinces him. Rachel finds some of Monica's extra tickets and after arguing, Phoebe takes them out to the balcny and threatens to throw them off the edge. She never intended to throw them off, she just wanted the gang to realise friends were more important than money. However, thanks to a scary pigeon, she does drop them off and they only manage to recover half of them. In the end Phoebe wins three dollars and they find out that one of the lost tickets was worth 10,000 dollars. Chandler doesn't get the job he was hoping for but is offered an even better one. Rachel hears Emma say her first word, gleba. Overall a hilarious episode with moments similar to that of TOW Everyone finds out as all the gang are in it together.
  • really great and funny! =D

In this episode, the six of friends bought lotteries, except Ross. They pooled their money together and promised to share the money if they win. They were very excited of winning the lottery, Phoebe even went to a psychic, and Ross was keep making jokes of them. Emma was about to say her first word when Rachel called her. All of them were excited at first, but later they found out the word that Emma said, gleba. Monica then found buying other tickets for herself and Chandler, and soon the six friends fought to get the lotteries. Phoebe then went to the balcony to threaten to throw them off the edge. She actually didn't mean to throw them off, she just wanted the gang to realise friends were more important than money. However, she did drop them off because she was shocked by a pigeon, and they could only get half of the lottery tickets. In the end, Phoebe won three dollars, which should have been divided into six, and they found out that one of the lost tickets was worth $10,000.
  • I like it when they're all together.

I enjoyed this installment alot more than any other episode this season mainly because of all the characters being involved in the same scenario. Lottery tickets. Ross is skeptical, the gang are hopeful.

The thing I liked most about this episode is how it highlighted each character's individual personality.

Monica : Competetive, organisational and driven.

    Chandler : Comic.

    Phoebe : Hopeful and eccentric.

    Ross : Skeptical and realistic.

Joey : Hyper and quite dumb.

    Rachel : Aloof and outgoing.

My favorite character this episode was phoebe. The pigeon thing was hilarious and she had the best lines, "Is daddy gonna spank me."

  • "farts boobies buttcracks"

Monica leads the gang, except for a scoffing Ross, to purchase a bunch of lottery tickets for the multimillion dollar powerball jackpot, but while they gleefully plot how to spend their possible shares, a disdainful Phoebe throws caution to the wind literlly dropping all of the tickets from the balcolny and one was the winning ticket i think. Meanwhile, Chandler frets as he waits for a phone call that could mean a new paying job but he doesent get it, he gets a better kob and is happy and Rachel thinks baby Emma is close to saying her first word.
  • This is a really good episode to watch, laughs and yet, it still has all the seriousness.

This is a really good episode to watch, laughs and yet, it still has all the seriousness.

This episode shows you that the only thing more
    important than money, is friends.

The six friends argue on what the money should be spent on if any of the friends win the lottery.
Phoebe has had enough and decides to throw the lottery tickets over the balcony, even though she was joking a pigeon knocks the tickets out of her hand.

As they succesfully obtain most of the tickets, the lottery draw commences and out of the $300 million dollars they have the chance to win, they win $3.But the friends show how much they appreciate each other by giving their 50 cents to Phoebe even though, they are still mad.

The last laugh of the episode is when Phoebe hides her mouth behind a mug of coffee and pretends to tell everyone, in a pigeon's voice that it wasn't 'The pretty lady's fault'.

    A hilarious episode, 10/10, excellent!
