Continuity: Phoebe (acting as his agent) tells Joey that he lost a part in a TV movie because "They'd never met an Italian actor with a worse Italian accent". However, in Season 7's "The One with Ross and Monica's Cousin", except for his missing "turtleneck", he nails the audition for an Italian immigrant. Apparently, he'd been "a-working onna you Italian accen-tay".
Goof: When Monica is telling Susan and Carol that Ross used to dress up as a girl, Ross goes over to the table and picks up a drink. When he picks it up it has the lid on. In the next shot he has the lid already in his hand.
Goof: When Ross shows G.I. Joe to Ben, the Barbie's legs are pointing towards the refrigerator. In the next shot, they are suddenly pointing the opposite way.
Goof: When Rachel and Monica are comforting Chandler and Rachel realizes that Chandler didn't call himself a loser, she pulls her hands in by her body. When the shot changes, her hands are back on the chair.
Continuity: Contrary to all descriptions of Monica's childhood weight problem, including an incident where they had to call sixth graders to teeter-totter with her when she was in kindergarten, young Monica in the home movie is of normal weight for a child her age.
Goof: In the scene where Chandler is eating the soy-based ice cream, the label of the ice cream changes back and forth. At first, the label is green and white, and says "French Vanilla", the camera cuts away, goes back to Chandler, and then the ice cream bucket is solid purple. Afterwards, it switches two more times.
Goof: In the scene where Chandler is sitting on the cabinet talking to Rachel and Monica, Rachel is holding an ice-cream bucket and a spoon. However, they keep showing up on the counter and then back in her hands between shots.
Ross: (imitating Joey's infomercial) Are you intrigued?
Chandler: You're flingin'-flangin' right I am!
Phoebe: (explaining to Joey how she forgot to give him a message) Well, it was just... it was all so crazy, y'know? I mean, Chandler was in the closet counting to ten, and he was up to seven, and I hadn't found a place to hide yet. I meant to tell you, and I wrote it all down on my hand. (shows Joey her hand) See? All of it.
Joey: Yep, that's my audition.
Monica: See? Now this is why I keep notepads everywhere.
Phoebe: Yep, and that's why we don't invite you to play.
Rachel: (looking out the window) Huh... Well, that's funny... Ugly Naked Guy's still naked, but his dog's wearing a sweater.
Monica: I gotta go to work. Has anybody seen my left boob?
Joey: I love that movie!
Monica: Here it is... (pulls the fake boob from under Joey's head) Joey, what are you doing?
Joey: I'm sorry... It just felt nice.
Joey: (about Chandler's fear of commitment) It seems to me it's pretty much like anything else, y'know? ...Face your fear. You have a fear of heights? ...you go to the top of the building!. You're afraid of bugs... get a bug!
Joey: Oh, yeah... Go for it, man! Jump off the high dive... stare down the barrel of the gun... pee into the wind!
Chandler: Yeah, Joe... I assure you, if I'm ever staring down the barrel of a gun, I'm pretty much gonna be peeing every which way.
Chandler: So, I catch up to her and she says this relationship is going too fast and we have to slow down.
Monica: That is never good.
Chandler: Then I got all needy and clingy.
Monica: You didn't beg, did you?
Chandler: I said please...
Monica: Well, was it "please" with one "E" in the middle of it... or lots of "E's"?
Chandler: Oh, dear Lord, I begged!
Monica (about comfort ice cream) When you start getting screwed over all the time, you gotta switch to low fat.
Chandler: So, I'm not going to lose her?
Rachel: (overly-sympathetic) Oh, honey, you're not a total loser.
Chandler: I said, "So, I'm not going to lose her?"
Janice: (to Chandler) Okay, one of two things is happening here... Either you're seeing somebody behind my back, which would make you the biggest jerk on the planet, or you're pretending to be seeing somebody, which is so pathetic, I could just start crying right here in the cereal aisle. So which of these two guys do you wanna be?
Chandler: (pointing to another shopper) Could I be that guy?
Chandler: (to the girls when Janice calls him back) What do I do?
Rachel: I have no idea. This is totally unprecedented!
Monica: If we acted the way that you did? ...no man would ever call us again!
Carol: G.I. Joe?!
Ross: I don't know what to tell you guys, that's the doll he chose.
Susan: What'd you do, dip it in sugar?
Ross: G.I. Joe's in, Barbie's out! If you guys can't deal with it, that's just your... too... bad.
Monica: What're you being such a weenie for? Ben has a Barbie, big deal! You used to dress up like a woman.
Monica: ...when you used to dress up in Mom's clothes all the time?
Ross: (laughing self-consciously) What are you talking about?
Monica: The big hat, the pearls, the little pink handbag...
Ross: Okay... You are totally making this up!
Monica: How can you not remember? You made us call ya "Bea"?
Ross: (gradually remembering) Oh, God...
Susan: I've literally never been this happy.
Monica: And wasn't there a little song?
Carol: Oh, please God, let there be a song.
Ross: There was no song. (to Monica) There was no song...
Monica: (singing) I am Bea, I drink tea...
Ross: (goes into the bathroom) That's not it at all!
Monica: (singing through the door) Won't you... won't you...?
Ross: (opens door) Won't you dance around with me.
Little Ross: (singing) I am Bea. I drink tea. Won't you dance around with me?
International Episode Title:
Czech Republic: Chandlerův tunel (Chandler Tunnel)
This is the first appearance of Charlie and Jack Allen as Ben Geller-Willick-Bunch. Although Ben appeared in 12 episodes of Friends, Charlie and Jack only played him in 5 episodes.
This episode runs 23:47 on DVD (a typical sitcom runs about 22:00).
Little Ross: I am Bea. I drink tea. Won't you dance around with me?
The song that little Ross sings has the same melody as the traditional children's song, "This Old Man". The melody was borrowed for the "I Love You" song on the children's television program, Barney and Friends. "This Old Man" also evolved into Lt. Columbo's personal theme song on the hit TV series, Columbo.
Monica: Pretend like you just woke up, okay? That'll throw her off! Be sleepy!
Rachel: Yes! And grumpy!
Chandler: What are you--? Stop naming dwarfs!
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is the first full-length animated feature produced by Walt Disney Productions in 1937. The film was adapted from the fairy tale Snow White by the Brothers Grimm. In the film, the seven dwarfs were named Sleepy, Grumpy, Happy, Bashful, Sneezy, Dopey, and Doc.
Monica: Has anyone seen my left boob?
Joey: I love that movie!
Joey is confusing "my left boob" with the 1989 film My Left Foot, directed by Jim Sheridan and starring Daniel Day-Lewis. Lewis won the Best Actor Oscar for his performance and Sheridan was nominated for Best Director.
