Who was the Episode MVP ?

  • Emily returns!?

Well this episode started out funny & harmless. But beware viewers the b*** is back! I cannot believe Emily would call Ross again after all that she has put him through, seriously she is so annoying now. I am so glad Ross decided not to call her back. I like how Monica resembles Emily's story with Rachel. So that was a highlight of the episode. The funniest part is when the gang hear the car backfire and everyone ducks for cover & Joey saves Ross, I like the background music too. I also like Gary's character. He is really cool. Turns out Joey was trying to save his sandwich!moreless
  • a very funny installment

As the date for Emily's remarriage draws closer, the group tries to keep Ross distracted so that he wont be sad. As a result, Ross and the other guys get invited to take a ride along with Gary in which a car backfires and ross is "saved" by joey who really only cared about protecting his meatball mariana sub. also when rachael is at ross's apartmen she hears a message from emily having second thoughts, and she tells monica and they accidently deletes it leaving rachael to tell a oss who is in a state of euphoria the stuff about emily.moreless

A great episode, with a really interessting storyline and a good and funny cast. And like all episodes it has it's great wave in the storyline and a good cliff hanger at the end. • Emily's remarriage draws closer. Ross and the other guys get invited to go on a rode trip with Gary.

Good episode. Chandler can be a whimp sometimes because he didn't want to go at night. It isn't thst bad. I so like Gary and Phoebe. They are like so perfect for each other. I think Emily wanted to get remarried to get over Ross because when she calls and wants to give them a 2nd chance. Monica is obssed over the picture thing. The light thing was funny when Ross couldn't turn it off. Ross talking about how Joey saved his life. First I thought they would be gay Lol. The sandwich much of been very good for Joey to have the sandwich story.moreless
  • this episode is insane joey dives to save a sandwich

this is funny joey cares moreabout food than a human life even though it was a car back firing this episode shows that joeys love of food can go to all lengths plus ross's message to him self is extremly funny but you can see how chandler would be annoyed since joey and chandler are best friends

    • Magna Doodle: A drawing of a face

    • Goof: In the scene where Rachel tells Ross that Emily called, we see the glue on the side table which Rachel used to fix Ross' horn display standing on its base, and then laying down, and then on its base again.

    • Trivia: When Rachel and Monica are listening to Ross's answering machine, they use each others catchphrases. Monica says "Noooooo" and Rachel says "I know!"

  • QUOTES (17)

    • Rachel: Hey, hey it's okay. How about I fix you a drink? Maybe a margarita?
Monica: Ross has the blender. Oh, everything is just falling apart.
Rachel: No, honey, it's okay, I'll go to Ross's and get the blender. You get all the margarita stuff ready.
Monica: Alright. His keys are in the drawer. You know what? Also, I need some cash.
Rachel: Okay, do you want me to stop at the ATM?
Monica: No, while you're at Ross's if you see any lying around...
      Rachel: What?
      Monica: What? I, I don't do that.

    • Ross: He told you everything! I mean, you totally cracked him!
Gary: Yeah, well, being that he was the victim, they're usually pretty cooperative.

    • Chandler: (sniffing) Wow, that sandwich really does smell good.
Joey: Did I say you could smell it?
Chandler: I can't smell your sandwich?
Joey: Half the taste is in the smell! Y-You're sucking up all the taste units!
Chandler: Okay, I'll give them back... (puffs air from his nose)

    • Monica: (calling Rachel at Ross's) I need some other things to make the margaritas. I need some salt, margarita mix, and tequila.
Rachel: So all we have is ice?
Monica: See if he has ice.

    • Ross: I'm Gary's partner.
Chandler: You know when you say partner it doesn't sound "cop," it sounds "gay."
      Ross: Ummm, jealous?

    • Monica: (about Emily's message) Nooooo!
      Rachel: I know!

    • Monica (about her plan to erase Emily's message): What if Ross hears that and calls her back and they get back together? I mean, is that what you want? Ross back with that controlling neurotic, crazy, Emily? The Emily that wouldn't let him see you?
Rachel (gasps): Noooo. Oh, no, no. God, no! He should not get back together with her. I mean, I know that, you know that. Even Ross knows that. But that still doesn't give us the right to erase his message.
Monica: Look, I'm his sister and I love him. I don't want to see him get hurt. I mean, doesn't that give me the right to control hi... (checks herself) ...Help him?
Rachel: I don't think he's the one who needs help.
Monica: Okay, look, she's obviously unstable. I mean, she's thinking about running out on her wedding day. (Rachel gives her a look) Okay, fine. But look at the position she's putting him in. And what's he gonna do? Like Ross is gonna run over there on the wedding day and break up the marriage? Who would do that? (Rachel gives her another look) Okay, fine. But, you know, that's different. (reflecting) Although it did involve a lot of the same people.

    • Gary: (about the ride-along release form) It just says you can't sue the city if you scrape your knee, or get your head blown off.
Chandler: (sarcastically) Oh, hurry up, I want to sign that.

    • Rachel: (rehearsing recreating Emily's message with an English accent) Hello Ross, this is Rachel--Emily! God, what is it with those two names? I do so wanted to say that I'm going to be getting married... to another British person. And I'm having doubts and... scones... and... I can't remember what she said.
Monica: Yeah, that's the problem with this plan.

    • (Monica & Rachel are listening to Ross leave a message on his own machine)
Ross: Hey, Ross, it's you. I just want you to remember this feeling. You are lucky to be alive and live everyday to the fullest. And love yourself, okay? Okay. And also get stamps. Bye.
Monica: Wow. Just play that message for Emily and this whole problem goes away.
      Rachel: Right?!

    • Gary: Hey Joey, you ever think about joining the force? We could use a guy like you.
Chandler: Who jumps at loud noises.
Ross: Wow. I could have died tonight.
Chandler: Yeah, if the car that backfired had run over you!

    • Joey: I was trying to save my sandwich.
      Chandler: From a bullet?
Joey: I know it doesn't make much sense.
      Chandler: Much sense?

    • Ross: Rach', what are you doing here?
Rachel: Hey, you know what? You are in our apartment all the time! This is just a drop in the bucket, mister!

    • Rachel (about Emily's message): Now, that was a good thing that I told you, right?
      Ross: Yeah. Yes! Of course!
Rachel: Okay, thank you. Thank you. Because... Alright, I'm just gonna go tell Monica that I was right. Because you know, she didn't want... Not important. Point is, I was right. Your decision. Okay? I was right. Your decision.
Ross: Right. I, I guess I should call Emily.
Rachel: No, no, that's not the right decision. Th-That's not right.

    • Ross: Hey, was Monica here?
      Rachel: Yeah.
Ross: Yeah, I want my money back.
Rachel: Yeah, you probably need that for stamps, right?

    • Monica: Man, I would be great in a war! I really think I'd make a fantastic military leader. I mean, I know I'd make general before any of you guys.
Chandler: Before or after you were shot by your own troops?

    • Ross: I know where Joey would be. He'd be down in the foxhole protecting all of us.
Chandler: Yeah, if the foxhole was lined with sandwiches.
      Joey: Yeah, hero sandwiches...
Phoebe: Now you all know that I'm a pacifist, so I'm not interested in war in any way. But you know when the revolution comes I will have to destroy you all. (aside) Not you, Joey.
