  • This episode is basically showing how you can be promoted and another person can try everything to get a job and it still might not work out. The whole Ross and Joey thing just makes the episode awesome.

Since Chandler got promoted he hates it yet Monica can barely get the job since the restaurateur is stoned which makes it even harder. Whats funny is the fact that if you don't want something it comes to you easily but when you want something you have to do everything to get it. Ross' colleague Celia is one wierd woman especially when she wants Ross to talk dirty yet he doesn't know how to. The fact that he ran to Joey and they have this whole conversation thing and then Chandler walks in is just pure genious b/c if there is one person who would make jokes about it for awhile its Chandler. The whole episode is brought together really well and they couldn't have changed a thing without it being really horrible.
  • At first glance, this episode might seem like nothing more than filler. But it is one of the most cleverly written episodes of the season.

This is a fantastic episode. A lot of credit goes to the cast on this one, they are all doing their best and making it a half hour of intense laughter. This episode is just great, it includes all the characters acting in their top form. Chandler gets a promotion, but quits because he never saw himself doing the number-crunching occupation. He gets all jazzed to go see a career counselor, only to come back depressed. He scored one hundred percent, absolutely, that he belongs in a data processing field, the exact job he left. Ross has a date with a co-worker at the museum, and he hopes it will lead to some action later. But when she asks him to speak dirty, the only thing he can say is 'vulva'. So he tells Joey and what ensues is the most funniest moment of the entire season, possibly entire show...Joey tells Ross he will help him become comfortable with dirty talk. So they practice it together, their backs facing each other so they won't feel weird. And right in the middle Chandler walks in and witnesses the whole thing. I never laughed so hard in my life. On a side note, Jon Lovitz does a terrific job as a stoned employer who wants Monica to cook him a meal, meanwhile he is too busy trying to eat every snack in sight.
  • Chandler quits his job, just to go back and Monica tries to land a head chef job.

    8.1
The best parts of this episode is when Joey is trying to convince Ross to talk dirty to his date and one of his lines is "tell me you want to caress my butt."

the second best part is when Steve shows up at the apartment stoned and he tries the food and says "Smack my ass and call me Judy"

    So funny!

Monica cooks a gourmet meal for a restaurateur looking for a new chef. Unfortunately, he's stoned and would just as well eat taco shells as her haute cuisine. After working as a data processing permanent temp for five years, Chandler gets promoted to data processing supervisor, then quits. And Ross has a date with a beautiful colleague named Celia and gives new meaning to the term "spanking the monkey," when he brings her back to his place to meet Marcel. Celia wants to meet his pee-pee, but only if he'll talk dirty to her.

Trivia: The Stoned Chef in this episode also appears in Season 8 as the same guy, but Rachel's date!
  • Another great installment

Monica cooks a really nice gourmet meal for a restaurateur searching for a new chef for his resturant. The catch is that the guy is stoned and would just about eat anything. After working as a data processing permanent temp for five years, Chandler gets promoted to data processing supervisor, then quits. Meanwhile, Ross has a date with a very pretty women he works with named Celia who wants to meet his monkey Marcel so he brings her back to his place. Yet another great episode about the amazing gang of Joey, Rachel, Chandler, Monica, Ross and Phoebe watch it!
  • Phoebe's client has an opening for a head chef so Monica tries out to impress him but when he shows up stoned(thus the title) and would rather eat gummy bears and toco shells insted of a meal shes been slaving over she blows a fuse and kicks him out.

This along with the pilot and the birth is my season favourite. Monica a very contoling person must deal with the rude antics of Phoebe's massage client when he arrives to her appartment stoned. Chandler meanwhile goes through a mid life crisis were he doesnt want to work at his job anymore which is a very good story line for him since no one knows what his job is. RAchel relizes that maybe she isnt the waitress she thought she was when Monica doesn't want her waitressing for the restraunt owner (now refered to be "the stoned guy"). A very good episode and awsome jokes.
  • a very good episode!

Chandler gets a promotion so infact he quits his job - it was only meant to be temprorary job but somehow he ended up working there for 6 years! His boss wants him back so is constantly ringing him to offer him a raise eventually he agress.

Ross's girlfriend wants him to talk dirty but he has no idea how to so he practises with Joey and an amused Chandler interupts.

Monica tries to get a job with one of Pheobe's friends as a head chef. So while she auditions it turns out he would eat anything and is apparently stoned!

After applying for a new chefs job Monica cooks a perfect meal for the resturantur but unfortunately for her hes stoned and spends the night playing with sugay O's and stealing her gummy bears.working as a data processing permanent temp for five years, Chandler gets promoted to data processing supervisor, but quits when he says that if he took it it would be admitting that this is what he really does. And Ross has a date with a beautiful colleague named Celia but theres a problem Celia wants to meet his pee-pee, but only if he'll talk dirty to her which for ross isnt as easy as it sounds.
  • "Stop talking crazy and tell me you want to caress my butt!"

Phoebe has a massage clinet whos looking for a cook to make the menu of a restuant he's just bought. Monica cooks a gourmet meal for him which turns out to be disasterous. Unfortunately, he's stoned and tries to eat everything in her cabnet while waiting for the food to be done. Chandler quits his job after he's promoted to data processing supervisor because he's worked there for five years and it was just supposed to be a temp job. His boss contunines to call and ask him to come back to work. Chandle finally caves and takes the job.

Joey teaches Ross how to talk dirty to a woman he's dating.
  • Stoned guy = funny guy!

The one with the stoned guy is in season 1 so its still early days of friends and this a classic episode an one of the best of season 1. There were a few different storylines, but Monica's was the funniest. She's applying for a new chef job and the employer comes over to the apartment to try her food. Unfortunately for Monica, when he gets there he is totally stoned and would have rather have McDonalds thn her cuisine. This leads to a lot of hilarity. Also in this episode - Ross meets a new girl, but she wants him to talk dirty to her. He doesn't know how to, so he goes to Joey for advice! Also, Chandler gets promoted then quits.

  • Dirty Talk.

This episode was just okay, basically the title gives away the plot. Sort of Monica's little filler. She never even gets the job. So nothing really happened, but very funny quotes. I like how Rachel wanted to be the waitress. And I also like how Phoebe offers the job to Chandler, when it was the dream job for Monica. Looks like Chandler is destined to what he already has been working for. Which opens up many story lines for the following episodes now that HE is promoted. That one definitely wasn't a filler. Ross talks dirty to his girlfriend then cuddles. I like how he dirty talked with Joey as well. Awkward for Chandler. Okay episode.

Celia is willing to have sex with him, but only if he'll talk dirty to her which he can't do so he asks Joey for help. I love this episode, I love everyepisde of Friends to be honest - I mean who doesn't?! Chandles quits his job, but it's so funny the way he acts about it - legend! Friends is too funny/ I love Jon Lovitz in this episode really good in it. Monica Ross tries to talk dirty - and oh my god it's too funny when Chandler walks in on Ross and Joey talking dirty to each other, one of the funniest things that has ever happen on Friends.
  • Ross asks Joey for advice on how to "talk dirty" to women. Monica interviews for a chef's position - and the restaurant owner is completely high... not on her but on drugs. (DVD Summary)

    10
In this episode Ross needs to learn how to talk dirty to his new lady in order to get some action. He goes to Joey for advice, but as soon as he starts to get into it, Chandler overhears... how embarrassing. He finally masters his dirty talk! But she still only wants to cuddle. Meanwhile, Monica has an interview for a chef's position. After cooking all day, the restaurant owner shows up completely stoned. Jon Lovitz gives an excellent performance as Steve, the Stoned Guy. Unfortunately after Steve eats a kitchen magnet, the girls leave him in the emergency room and Monica does not get the job. Absolutely hilarious!
