Phoebe discovers a human thumb floating in her can of soda and gets compensation of seven thousand dollars. I love this episode so much, I mean i think it's because Chandler starts to smoke again. I know it's weird that I like it so much just because of that but it's so funny and he is my favourite character. And once again, awesome line in this episode. I also love this episode because all of the gang love Monica's new boyofriend but Monica's new boyfriend doesn't like the gang. I always find that so funny. Well, all in all another awesome episode of "Friends".moreless

This episode wasn't as good as the first too but still very entertaining. Chandler takes up smoking again, that scene in the office is hilarious when he is trying to cover from smoking, then Phoebe with the thumb, I guess the message is if you do good things, good things will happen to you, which was nice of her giving 1000 dollars to the homeless lady and finally the main plot Alan, how all of Monica's friends loved him which was supposed to be good until Monica doesn't like Alan which is such a well thought out situation. And finally Chandler quits smoking cause Phoebe gives him 7000 dollars! An entertaining episode.moreless
  • Phoebe: If I bought boots, whenever I walked I would hear, "Not mine, not mine, not mine." And when I was skipping, I would hear, "not-not mine, not-not mine, not-not mine."moreless

Phoebe discovers a human thumb floating in her can of soda and gets compensation of seven thousand dollars. Like I said in one of my prevous reviews I have started to rewatch Friends from the beginning and I'm really enjoying it, it is such a laugh and I love seeing the first season of the show because it brings back memories of the good old days when I was a kid watching the show, this episode is one of my favourites if the first series I love the last scene were Pheobe offers Chandler 7000 dollars to stop smoking it was really funny.moreless

    • All: (About Chandler smoking) Hey, come on, put it out. Rachel: It's worse than the thumb. Chandler: Hey, this is so unfair. Monica: Why is it unfair? Chandler: So I have a flaw! Big deal! Like Joey's constant knuckle cracking isn't annoying? And Ross with his over pronouncing every single word, and Monica with that snort when she laughs... I mean what the hell is that thing? I accept all those flaws why can't you accept me for this? (Pause) Joey: Does the knuckle cracking bother everybody or just him? Rachel: Well, I would live without it. Joey: Is it like, a little annoying or is it like when Phoebe chews her hair? (Phoebe takes her hair out of her mouth.) Ross: Don't listen to them Pheebs, I think it's endearing. Joey: Oh you do, do you? (Monica snorts loudly.) Ross: There's nothing wrong with speaking correctly. Rachel: Indeed there isn't. (Ross looks at Rachel) I should really be getting back to work. Phoebe: Yeah, otherwise someone might get what they actually ordered. Rachel: Oh, the hair comes out and the gloves come off. (They all start shouting at each other, while Chandler walks away smoking happily.)
    • Ross: Hey. Oh, oh, how'd it go? Phoebe: Um, not so good. He walked me to the subway and said "We should do this again!" All: Oh. Ouch. Rachel: What? He said "We should do it again," that's good, right? Monica: Uh, no. Loosely translated "We should do this again" means "You will never see me naked." Rachel: Since when? Joey: Since always. It's like dating language. Ya know, like, "It's not you" means "It is you." Chandler: Or "You're such a nice guy" means "I'm gonna be dating leather-wearing alcoholics and complaining about them to you." Phoebe: Or, or, ya know, um, "I think we should see other people" means "Ha, ha, I already am."
    • Phoebe: (Reading a letter) "Dear Ms. Buffay, Thank you for calling attention to our error. We have credited your account with five hundred dollars. We're sorry for the inconvenience, and hope you'll accept this football phone as our free gift." Do you believe this?! Now I have a thousand dollars, and a football phone! Rachel: What bank is this?

    • Chandler: Ew, Lamb Chop. How old is that sock? If I had a sock on my hand for thirty years, it'd be talking too. Lamb Chop is a fictional character, who is a sock puppet sheep created by comedian and ventriloquist Shari Lewis on The Shari Lewis Show.
    • Joey: Know what was great? The way his smile was kinda crooked. Phoebe: Yes! Like that man in the shoe! Ross: What shoe? Phoebe: From the nursery rhyme. There was a crooked man, who had a crooked smile, who lived in a shoe... for a while. Phoebe is mixing two common nursery rhymes. "There was a Crooked Man" There was a crooked man and he walked a crooked mile, He found a crooked sixpence upon a crooked stile. He bought a crooked cat, which caught a crooked mouse. And they all lived together in a little crooked house "There was an Old Woman Who Lived in a Shoe" There was an old woman who lived in a shoe. She had so many children, she didn't know what to do. She gave them some broth without any bread, Then whipped them all soundly and put them to bed.
    • Ross: He was unbelievable. He was like that, that, that Bugs Bunny cartoon where Bugs is playing all the positions. This is a reference to an episode of Bugs Bunny from The Looney Tunes Show which was called "Baseball Bugs."
