  • Trivia

    • Trivia: Monica confesses that she originally wanted to hook up with Joey that night in London, which is why she asked where Joey was when she first arrived at Chandler's hotel room. We must assume that at some point she told Phoebe about it, since Phoebe is the one who accidentally lets it slip.

    • Trivia: In the imaginary scene where a fat Joey is married to Monica, Joey raises some food to his mouth on a fork but just holds it there as the credits roll. It suggests that all the "fried stuff with cheese" is actually inedible prop food. In any other scenes involving eating, the actors actually eat, even when there are multiple takes involved.

    • Trivia: In London, Monica tells Chandler he is a good kisser, and he responds by saying, "Well, I have kissed over four women". He is clearly joking. By the time they go to London, Chandler has kissed--and in many cases slept with--over eleven that even we as an audience are aware of: Janice (Oh, my God!), Aurora (who just wanted sex), Nina (the girl he was supposed to fire), Jade (the girl who was calling for "Bob"), Susie Moss (Julia Roberts), the girl at Rachel's birthday party who called him "Dennis", Mary Angela (Joey's sister), Ginger (with the prosthetic leg), Joanna (Rachel's boss), Kathy (Joey's ex-girlfriend) and Marjorie (who talked/screamed in her sleep). Besides those, there were the women he rejected because of physical flaws mentioned in "The One Where Heckles Dies". We learn in "The One Where the Stripper Cries" that Chandler used to make out with Missy Goldberg in the science lab and even kissed Rachel before Ross did.

    • Magna Doodle: A drawing of a guy on a teeter-totter opposite a little dog and the dog is heavier

    • Goof: In the London flashback when Chandler asks Monica if she's still upset, she says, "Wouldn't you be?" and folds her arms. When the camera switches, her arms are down by her sides.

    • Goof: In the London flashback, Monica is not wearing the same dress that she wore in "The One with Ross's Wedding (1)" which took place on the same night.

    • Goof: At Carol's house when Ben is repeating everything Rachel says, Rachel's purse keeps switching from in her hand to over her shoulder.

    • Goof: In Central Perk when Joey is reading his speech for the wedding ceremony, Chandler's legs are on the coffee table. When the camera angle faces Joey, you can still see Chandler's shoes on the table. After the speech when the shot changes to Chandler, his legs are crossed and one shoe is on the floor.

    • Goof: When Rachel shows Ben the quarter prank, she sets the pencil back on the table so it is facing straight ahead. When the camera angle goes back to the wider shot, the pencil has moved.

    • Goof: At the beginning when Chandler and Monica are talking in Central Perk, Chandler's legs keep switching from right-over-left to left-over-right between shots.

    • Goof: When Joey walks in on Chandler and Monica, the three paintings behind the beds are different to those in the episode "The One With Ross's Wedding (1)".

    • Goof: When Joey walks in on Chandler and Chandler says he was watching a movie, the reflection on the TV is wrong. Chandler's not on the bed, Joey isn't by the door, and even some of the pictures on the wall have changed.

    • Goof: When Chandler and Monica jump into bed to have sex, Chandler undresses rather quickly, whereas Monica just jumps under the covers with her dress on. When they count to three to look under the covers at each other naked, they never show that Monica had taken off her dress.
Note: If you watch closely, you see that Monica is quickly undressing from the moment she gets under the covers, part of her activity hidden by Chandler ripping off his pajamas. Admittedly, it's a very brief event, but it's not as though she just sat there waiting for Chandler.

    • Goof: In the scene near the beginning of the episode where Joey enters Chandler and Monica's apartment asking if they found a minister for the wedding, a boom mic is visible.

    • Goof: In the London flashback the box of condoms Chandler bought is blue. But in the beginning of "The One With Ross's Wedding (1)" we see that the box of condoms Chandler bought is orange.

  • Quotes

    • Ross: (to Ben, who's in the bathroom) Everything okay in there?
Ben: Don't talk to me now!
Rachel: Aww... Just like his daddy.

    • Ross: Hey, listen can you do me a big favor? The dean's office just called and said there's an urgent meeting. Can you watch Ben for... I dunno, like, an hour?
      Rachel: Wha... what about Monica?
      Ross: She isn't home.
Rachel: So it would just be... me, alone?
Ross: Well, Ben would be there.
      Rachel: Huh, um...
      Ross: What's the matter?
Rachel: Well, uh, y'know... it's just, uh... I've never done that before... me and him... alone.
Ross: Rach', he's not an ex-con.

    • (Monica has given Phoebe a pamphlet listing a headache medicine's side-effects)
      Phoebe
: Oh, my God! (reading) "Dizziness, Nervousness, Drowsiness, Facial swelling, Nausea, Headache..." (incredulous) Headache! (continues reading) "Vomiting, Stomach bleeding, Liver damage..." Now, I don't recall any of this coming up when you gave me these little death capsules... Oh, I'm sorry--"Extra Strength" death capsules.

    • Rachel: Remember all that stuff I taught you yesterday?
Ben: Remember all that stuff I taught you yesterday?
      Rachel: Don't do that.
      Ben: Don't do that.
Rachel: Seriously. Your dad doesn't like pranks.
Ben: Seriously. Your dad doesn't like pranks.
      Rachel: Ugh, Damn it!
      Ben: Ugh, Damn it!
Rachel: No, No, don't say that!
      Ben: Damn it!
Rachel: No, go back to repeating!
      Ben: Damn it!
      Rachel: Oh, Crap.
      Ben: Oh, Crap!

    • Joey: (to Chandler, thinking of personal stories to include in his speech) ...Like the time you and I went to Atlantic City and I made you laugh so hard you threw up your whole steak? Remember?

    • (London flashback)
      Chandler
: (after Monica kisses him) How drunk are you?
Monica: Drunk enough to know that I want to do this... not so drunk that you should feel guilty about taking advantage...
      Chandler: That's the perfect amount!

    • (London flashback)
      Monica
: (after Chandler has undressed) Wow, you are really fast!
Chandler: It bodes well for me that speed impresses you.

    • Joey: Hey! I'm a man of the cloth... but I still have feelings!

    • Monica: (about almost sleeping with Joey in London) It's not a big deal!
Chandler: It is to me! You wanted to sleep with Batman, and instead you had to settle for Robin. (leaves the apartment)
      Joey: This is crazy.
Phoebe: I know. Robin is so gay.

    • Rachel: So now what have we agreed?
      Ben: No more pranks.
      Rachel: And, and what else?
Ben: That you and daddy were not on a break.
      Rachel: Very good.

    • Ross: Rachel. What are you doing here?
Rachel: I'm just visiting my good friend, Carol.
      Ross: Your good friend?
      Rachel: Yah.
      Ross: What's her last name?
      Rachel: Carol... Lesbian?
      Ross: Nice.

    • Rachel: (to Ross about Ben) I haven't taught him anything that a normal six year-old doesn't know, anyway.
Ben: (from the other room) Crap!
      Rachel: I've gotta go.

  • Notes

  • Allusions

    • After a prank in high-school, Ross said, "I'll be revenged!" This was originally said by Malvolio in Shakespeare's Twelfth Night: "I'll be revenged [on the whole pack of you!]"

    • Before Ross arrives at Joey's apartment (with a line down his face) and confronts Rachel on the pranks she taught Ben, Rachel can be seen reading a copy of To Kill A Mockingbird, the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel by Harper Lee, published in 1960.

    • Chandler: You wanted to sleep with Batman and instead you had to settle for Robin.
Batman and Robin are fictional superheroes, first appearing in DC Comics in 1940.
