Goof: When Phoebe is talking to Ursula's stalker for the first time, her hands constantly move places, whenever the shot changes, with no time to do so.
Goof: About five minutes into the episode during a conversation between Chandler, Ross, and Rachel in the girls' apartment, a shadow can be seen passing behind the closet door in the back. This happens while the three friends are the only ones in the apartment, meaning that someone else was walking by backstage.
Goof: In the scene where Malcolm, played by David Arquette, is talking to Phoebe in the subway, you can hear him but his lips aren't moving.
Trivia: When Rachel comes out of the bathroom, she is wearing two different socks. The same thing happened in the previous episode, "The One Where No One's Ready".
Trivia: There is an inside joke in the tag scene. Ross's line about "Cro-Magnum PI," is an obvious reference to Magnum PI starring Tom Selleck as private investigator Thomas Magnum. Selleck had, as of this episode, appeared as Richard Burke in six episodes and would later appear in two more. His voice is used, uncredited, in this episode. The producers did something similar later in the season involving actress Marlo Thomas (recurring character Sandra Green) and a That Girl T-shirt. That Girl, of course, was the very successful 1966 TV series in which she starred.
Goof: Joey accuses Chandler of hiding his underwear as payback for him taking Chandler's chair cushions. The problem is, Chandler at no time left Monica's apartment following the cushion incident, so when could he have hidden Joey's underwear? It's possible that he hid them earlier when he was changing into his tux, but that would have been as payback for Joey hogging the chair, not specifically for his taking the cushions.
Goof: When Phoebe comes out of the bathroom after trying to get out the hummus stain, the bathroom door is left wide open. However, when Monica is playing her message, the door is suddenly almost shut, though no one had gone near the door.
Continuity: In the beginning of the episode there is a message on the machine from Rachel's sister. However the voice is obviously not Reese Witherspoon or Christina Applegate who will later play her sisters. Also, she's asking if Rachel slept with Donnie because he shouted "Two for two!", implying that he's now slept with both Rachel and her sister. However, Rachel has two sisters.
Goof: Chandler sits on Joey in an attempt to regain possession of the chair. When he stands up, the shirt sleeve on his left arm becomes unrolled and slides down. The camera cuts to face Ross and Chandler's sleeve is now rolled back up.
Trivia: The New Oxford English Dictionary now includes a definition for "go commando" as meaning "Wear no underpants". They actually credit this phrase to Friends.
Goof: The hummus stain on Phoebe's yellow dress changes size throughout the episode.
Goof: In the beginning of the episode, when Rachel comes out of the bathroom, she has on one black sock and one white sock.
Note: This is true but probably not a goof. Executive Producer Marta Kauffman refers to it as a touch she "loves" in the audio commentary for this episode on the Friends DVD. Remember, the girls are getting dressed for a big event amidst a variety of distractions.
Trivia: This episode is completely shot in real time, much like an episode of the TV show 24. At the beginning Ross says they have 27 minutes left in order to get there. The episode ends with that time running out. This is the only episode of Friends that takes place in real time. However, as in many cases, the real time doesn't match up. When Rachel says they have five seconds left, they're already two minutes late. It is possible, though, that the timing was correct in the original airing. Episodes ran 22 minutes on NBC, but on the DVDs some episodes are as long as 26 and DVD commentaries reveal that some scenes deleted from the original airings have been restored in the DVD versions.
Trivia: In the opening scene, when the gang walks into Central Perk, the couch is occupied by writers who contributed to Season 3 of Friends.
Goof: Although the Princess Leia "cinnamon bun" hairstyle is very recognizable, her hair was not in that style when she wore the gold bikini, as Rachel's (and Judy's) is. Instead, her hair was pulled back and held with an ornamental clasp, then formed into a single braid which hung over her shoulder.
Trivia: Rachel's "Princess Leia" gold bikini is not an exact copy of the original, which showed a bit more skin.
Goof: When Monica answers the door and sees her father, she says, "Hey Dad, what are you doing here?" However, her lips barely move at all and the line sounds like a voice-over.
Trivia: When Chandler and Ross are sharing and Chandler mentions the girl at the Xerox place with the belly button ring, Ross agrees that he sometimes pictures her. This is the same girl that Ross sleeps with later in the season when he and Rachel are "on a break".
Goof: Monica is supposed to be all depressed in this episode, because of her breakup with Richard. But in the very first scene she looks perfectly fine when walking into Central Perk discovering the people sitting in their usual spots.
Trivia: In this episode it's noticeable that Jennifer Aniston did some exercise between seasons. Her face looks thinner and overall she appears toned.
