Trivia: Here are the translations for Paolo's lines in Italian.
Paolo is being introduced in Monica's apartment.
Paolo: Ragazzi, sono appena arrivato e vivo al piano di sotto, quindi ci vedremo molto spesso, penso.
Translation: Hey guys, I've just arrived and my apartment's on the lower floor, so we'll get across quite often, I think.
Paolo: Phoebe, anche tu bellissima. Se siete tutte così belle mi trasferisco proprio qui.
Translation: Phoebe, you're so beautiful too. If you girls are all so gorgeous I'll move right here.
Paolo and Rachel are looking outside.
Paolo: Guarda la luna, guarda le stelle... Guarda tutte le cose belle.
Translation: Look at the moon, look at the stars... Look at every beautiful thing.
Trivia: The ATM vestibule which Chandler was stuck in belongs to Emerson Bank, according to the title on the glass door.
Trivia: This is the first time Chandler says his catchphrase "Could I be more...?"
Trivia: Right before Joey films the shower scene, if you look over the shoulder of the director, you can see a box marked with Monica's name.
Trivia: The song lyrics that Joey sings during his production of Freud! are:
"All you want is a dingle.
What you envy's a schwang.
A thing through which you can tinkle,
Or play with, or simply let hang."
Goof: When Joey is filming the shower scene, he is supposed to be naked. However you can clearly see from his shadow that he is wearing shorts.
Continuity: Since there was a month of time between the first and second episode, it can be assumed that Rachel has been living in the city for a month and half if not longer. Therefore it is odd that she would have not done any laundry nor received a paycheck.
Goof: A sign in the laundromat reads "lost cloths" not "lost clothes," though a surprising number of laundromats have the same spelling error.
Continuity: Rachel tells Ross that she can't even send back soup. But Rachel sends back a drink in "The One with the Flashback". Chronologically that would have been a year earlier.
Trivia: Ross's detergent Überweiss is German for "Super White."
Continuity: In this episode, Monica says she sees Ugly Naked Guy laying kitchen tile. It is impossible for Monica to see into his kitchen. As we see in Season 5 when Ross gets that apartment, the kitchen is in the upper right of the screen with a door. And when Phoebe finds out about Chandler and Monica at a straight on shot of the window in that apartment you can't see the kitchen.
Continuity: In this episode Monica and Rachel must go to the laundromat because they do not have a laundry room in their building. However, in other episodes Monica and Rachel do have a laundry room, as they often come home with their laundry and are wearing pajamas.
Goof: When Janice comes into the coffee shop to talk to Chandler, she brings a shopping bag which she sets by the couch. But when she gets back from the restroom and Phoebe breaks up with her for Chandler, she leaves the coffee shop without getting her bag from in front of the couch.
Continuity: Rachel told her friends in the previous episode that she even does her own laundry, whereas this week she confesses to being a "laundry virgin." This is due to the two episodes airing out of production order.
Continuity: In this episode Phoebe tells Monica that she slept with her ex-boyfriend, Jason Hurley, two hours after they broke up and Rachel has no idea about it because it happened before she joined the group. However, in "The One Where Eddie Won't Go," Rachel tells Monica that Phoebe slept with Jason an hour after they broke up and Monica seems surprised and angry with Phoebe.
Goof: When Chandler, Joey and Ross went to the emergency room they come into contact with Dora whom is making a call in reference to the quality of a candy bar. She says she is calling to tell them that she is not fully satisfied with "this" candy bar. This cannot be possible if the candy bar has not been open yet.
Factual Error: Ross, Chandler, and Joey go to a New York Rangers - Pittsburgh Penguins hockey game. In reality the National Hockey League was experiencing a lockout during the 1994-95 season that lasted until January, meaning that no game could have existed in October of 1994.
Trivia: When the girls are out on the balcony discussing what the boys would be like in bed, their discussion foreshadows their future romantic entanglements. Phoebe speaks highly of Joey, Monica of Chandler, and Rachel of Ross. (Although Phoebe and Joey were never technically together, they often acted as a pair.)
Continuity: Ross's birthday is inconsistent. In "The One Where Emma Cries" Ross says his birthday is October 18th. Also, in "The One with Five Steaks and an Eggplant" (which aired October 19th) Ross is taken to the Hootie and the Blowfish concert on his birthday. However, in "The One with George Stephanopoulos," Joey and Chandler buy Rangers' tickets to celebrate Ross's birthday on October 20th, and Ross says that his birthday was seven months ago, implying his birthday is in March. Furthermore, in "The One with Joey's New Girlfriend" Ross tells Gunther his birthday is in December.
Goof: When Rachel is sitting around the coffee house with her old girlfriends, right before the scene changes, it flashes to Rachel and her hair suddenly looks different.
