Who do you think is the best actor on "Fringe?"

    John Nobel is by far the best actor on the show. He manages to make a totally unbelievable character realistic.

    There are a lot of good actors on the show. As others have mentioned, Charlie, Astrid, Broyles, etc. don't get the credit they deserve. They are under used characters who are obviously important enough to show up in every episode yet have little screen time.

    John Noble is the best actor in Fringe. Not only does he play the character of Walter amazingly but he manages to flip 360 and play Walternate top notch too, as well as the 1985 versions of both characters. He manages to pull off 4 characters, who are all very different from each other without a single flaw. Plus there are a few scenes that are simply genius when played by Noble and it's hard to imagine any other actor playing the scene so well. Such as the "give me the keys and save the girl" climax... his facial expressions and vocal reactions are just spot on. The same goes for his own one liners "Theres only room enough for one God in this lab and it sure as hell isn't yours" and the spooky "Some things are meant to be left alone, Agent Farnsworth". The way these one liners are delivered by Noble is intense and I have to give massive credit where it's due as far as production and direction is concerned. They always manage to have the perfect close up head shot to capture Noble as he delivers these blow-away one-liners.

    John Noble hands down, He is Australia's best actor ATM in tv and movies he's incredible and he deserves some recognition for his performances.

    Anna Torv has been sensational in Season 3- her portrayal of the two Olivias is really solid - you can completely tell which is which just from the way they walk. and the Leonard Nimoy channelling is priceless.

    It's hard to pick between Anna, Josh and John though. They're all excellent. Have any of them had am Emmy nomination at all?

    anna is superb, john is good enough 4 his character, n i think joshua is a bit dull may be because not much space 4 him to shine like the other 2, and credits to lance reddick and aloso blair... i love nina sharp oso, btw

    How is this even a 'discussion'?

    John Noble is the best actor. And I don't mean 'on fringe'. I mean, on TV all around.

    Come on, the man plays 4 (four) different Walters with such precision you can't even tell they're the same person.

    Its not Josh's fault now is it? Did they give him a double? No! Did they give him a storyline? No. Did they develop Peter's character the way they developed Walter and Olivia's characters? No. Josh's screentime was literally cut in half while we saw double John and Anna.


    So don't call Josh dull when its not his fault.

    I don't know. They're all great actors. Anna Torv as William Bell was awesome though! She really got Leonard Nimoy's maneurisms down!

    i think there must be a reason for the producers 4 not giving a double to josh, i never think he's bad at all, but as comparison, anna and john definitely eye-catching than he is
