i think there must be a reason for the producers 4 not giving a double to josh, i never think he's bad at all, but as comparison, anna and john definitely eye-catching than he is

Umm, yeh. Josh doesn't have a double because blue-Peter died... so only 1 Peter is alive. It forms the foundation for the whole back-story.

It's true, that as a result he had zero screentime "over there" but his screen time "over here" was decent. The only character with more screen time is Olivia / Fauxlivia. My impression is Walter tends to have less screentime that Peter / Olivia but that could just be a mistake.

We've seen him grow a fair amount on the show, they just didn't dedicate entire episodes to him getting past a personal hang-up or whatever like the gave to Olivia.

He's much more into team work now, he's forgiven his father (TWICE) and enjoys spending time with him, he's acts less devious and cold than his first introduction.

Though in comparison to Olivia + Walter he's had a lot less to work with.

John Noble for me, although I have always liked Anna Torv on Fringe, and I started watching it because I like Josh Jackson.

This is a tough call, because I think they're all terrific actors. Both Anna and Josh are pretty understated actors, and John is the one who is allowed to chew up the scenery. However, with the third season finale, and Walter/Walternate are facing each other, you kind of forget that the same actor is playing both characters.

Also, according to behind-the-scene notes and sides for "The Day We Died," Walter had had a stroke sometime in the 15 years in prison. It's never stated outright in the version that aired (deleted scene on the DVD? That would rock). But, if you watch Walter, John Noble doesn't move his right side. But, it's not something that is drawing much attention to itself. That is the work of an exceptional actor.

However, if Josh Jackson is no longer on the show (and he is. He still has a contract, and the producers have come out and said that he'll be back. This is hypothetical), I probably will watch it less. Because I think you need the dynamic of the three actors and characters.

I thought I noticed that. I recall even mentioning to my friend that I wonder if John Noble had a stroke recently or something.

He really is a great actor. I watched some of the season 1 stuff again and some of his scenes were just so touching. Like when we Peter "scared" him by singing him to sleep (row row row your boat) and some other stuff. Really, quite exceptional.

I think in the end of the day, Fringe is very much of an ensemble piece. Sure, I've voted for John Noble as well, but he's part of an amazing cast. Less gifted actors and actresses would easily be played against the wall and have all their scenes stolen by his amazing acting.

All the actors on Fringe do a great job, no matter which role they play.

But I voted for John Noble, because he still, time-after-time, manages to deliver such fantastic performances that can make you laugh, cry, or feel heartbroken.

A lot of actors on other shows cannot do the types of things John manages to do. And a lot of other shows could not manage to pull of the things that Fringe has done this past season.

Not being nominated for an Emmy is a crime, because Fringe deserves them. (including Anna and Josh)

    i have to say:

john is good for his character now if the character was differnt i dont know if john could pull it off.but his doing a good job playnig walter.

joshua is a good actor i think he could do so much more but i think joshua kind of holds back alittle..

all the other characters arent giving alot of screen time or deveople to see what they can do.

anna is the best actor on fringe hands down.she is by far better than everyone on the show to me.the way she potrays all this didfferent characters is just amazing.

    anna the best for me.

I love Season three, its the season where the characters true talents was revealed to us. John Noble is an outstanding actor no doubt, and Anna Torv came a long way, she's fantastic, and more confident with her role now. I chose John Noble, but Torv is a great actress as well.

OK, today's my birthday (August 20). And, I was looking up to see which actors share my birthdate. I already knew two of my favorites were also born on August 20: James Marsters and Misha Collins. And, it also turns out that I share my birthdate with John Noble! According to IMDb, he turned 73 today.

    Awesome!
